We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks in New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Now, the cleanup. More than 1.5 million people remain without electricity in North Carolina this morning.
Algore visited China recently, and it is believed he was paid to speak at a communist government-linked think tank. People could pay 50,000 yuan to get their picture taken with Algore, or 100,000 yuan to buy conference sponsorship packages.
Algore claims he was paid by BusinessWeek to attend the event: "I can tell you specifically our contract says DnmStrategies for BusinessWeek," says Jano Cabrera, spokesman for Algore, as reported by Drudge.
Drudge also reports that Nancy Sheed, spokeswoman for BusinessWeek, says: "This was not an official BusinessWeek-sponsored event. We did not pay any of the participants in the event. We did not pay any of the speakers at the event. BusinessWeek was also not aware that anybody had been invited on behalf of BusinessWeek to speak at the event."
Algore also attended an informal lunch on November 18 with approximately 30 members of the Asia society, sponsored by Hong Kong chairman Mr. Chan. Chan was an independent director of ENRON. Algore knew of Chan's relationship with ENRON because a source said he "told him before we went into the lunch."
Algore may be the master of reinvention, but he does not seem to have reinvented his pechant for Chinese money.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
LET'S ROLL!!!

I hope none of "ours" in North Carolina are among those without electricity.

Yes, x42 and Gore....The former really knew his man when he picked him as VEEP.
We had a night of steady rain...(I love that sound!!)..
This AM is cloudy, but not too cool.
I'm heading out to exercise class.....and then home for a quick shower......then Christmas shopping.
Later.....
Kay, hope you're able to keep that appt. with the allergist! **Prayers** for your safety and health as you seek answers and relief.
**Prayers** for us all that we may know God's plan for our lives.....that we may be fully alive with joy and confidence to serve Him everyday.
KAYAK ALERT! :-)
"Kayak called me a couple of hours ago. She's safe and sound and warm and snug as a bug in a rug....in a hotel, that is.
Here's the skinny....there's NO power in her area, it went out about 10:30 last night. Her house, inside, was about 50 degrees. They had a high of 36 today. 1-1/2 million people are without power, and could be for a couple of weeks yet.
They DO have power in Charlotte, in their office, so they weren't stuck in the hotel for ALL the time. She said about 1/4 of a million are w/o power in Charlotte.
She said it was an ice storm, trees down all over, looks like a hurricane came through. "
Prayers that things get back to normal for you & hubby and that you can go back home ASAP. Also, more prayers for your appointment today, that answers will be found and relief will be on the way.
(((hugs)))
Today is our department's Christmas Holiday Party. I'm going to do a few Christmas Holiday songs on my dulcimer and harmonica. Do you think if I sing "Silent Night" I can get fired a week before I have to give finals?
The local paper features on its cover today a picture of a father and son praying at a Ramadan prayer service hosted by a local university (not ours). I'm so happy that local universities can host prayer services for specific religions and will be sure to go to the Christian prayer service sponsored by our universities. /sarcasm
We're having very light flurries....
Things to do....later....
Today is my trip to the fancy grocery store, because I must get baking items. I don't like to go there because I feel like I have to dress up...LOL!
My oven will finally be installed next Wednesday. YAY!
This afternoon I'm playing for a Christmas program with a singer I haven't practiced with, doing music I haven't seen yet. Wish me luck!
Off to water aerobics.........
