Word For The Day, Monday 11/18/02
11/18/02 | Mistress Bella

Posted on 11/18/2002 12:20:37 AM PST by Bella_Bru

In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of “word for the day”. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the “word of the day”; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

munificent\mu·nif·i·cent\, adjective:
munificence, noun
munificently, adverb

1. Very liberal in giving; generous.
2. Showing great generosity: a munificent gift.

Etymology: Munificent is from Latin munificus, generous, bountiful, from munus, gift. The quality of being munificent is munificence.

Good Morning Class. Welcome to School!

Teacher's note:

Today we will be playing a little game. As you can see, the forms of the WFTD are given in the order of ADJECTIVE, NOUN, and last, ADVERB. You must carefully watch what the student ahead of you turns in for his/her homework, because you will be required to use the form following that which was previously used. For example, if he or she uses the noun form, you must use the adverb form. If the adverb form is used, the next student's homework must contain the adjective form. Points WILL be subtracted for failure to follow along. This little game will give you all the opportunity to learn from each other by scanning other student's homework. Do not disappoint Mistress Bella. You know how cranky she is on Mondays.

Yikes!! My list is a paltry 24 or 25 (I'm losing count these days) and we have yet to make a dent in it.

Hey!

The xsexless puppy wasn't exactly dismembered ... he was remembered most unkindly.....

And if you'd of forgot to unmember him, he'd been able to take a hardline against anything.......

They do have one advantage over most Western poetry, though. They are brief.

I want to tell you all a story 'bout a xsmommy’s little pup
Who was a little doggie who decided it time for littledoggie to grow up
xsmommy came home one afternoon and didn't even stop to play
She said, "come with me xspuppy there’s a man who wants to help you play"

The man said, "xspuppy, you're growing your penis way too long
It's reported you've been drinking and a-runnin' 'round with girls and flashing dong
And we don't believe you ought to be hanging out your little parts this way"
It was time that you got yer little manhood lopped away.

Well, it happened that the vererna’y was gonna snip that very afternoon
They were sure surprised when xsmommy wore her little pooch into the room
And as she walked up to the table, I still recall the words she had to say
She said, "I'd like to castrate this puppy so he won’t go out and play"

Well, there's xspuppy sittin' there and seven times he's tried to get a date
xspuppy sure going to need a lot of ice whenever he's away
And xshubby, can you tell us why your wife and puppy had to have this done?
And shouldn't xspuppy be told to keep his bones and things all buried deeply down?

No I wouldn't put you on because it really did, it happened just this way
When xsmommy socked it to her xspuppy’s thang
When xsmommy socked it to her xspuppy’s thang

"the pup might not have been dismembered, but he's a soprano now....

Isn't the disposal so fitting for membership in the soprano's organization?

Probably buried with Peter's Pan in the concrete in Never-Neverlands Stadium in NJ.

You still get an A for turning something in. My game was ruined for me anyway, because our computer systems have been off and on (more off than on) all day.
