AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION - Days 665 and 666) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | November 16, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 11/16/2002 4:33:01 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Jiang Zemin may have stepped down as President of China, but he still retains control of that Nation's military.

Director Tom Ridge is expected to be nominated as the first Secretary of Homeland Security.

And Britain's Medical Officer (akin to our Surgeon General) announced that his country will begin an education campaign to inform British subjects how to respond to a biological or chemical attack.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I haven't thought it out in the same detail that you have. But when my friends get creepy about GW's saber rattling, I just grin, and tell them it is all a part of an orchastrated plan. You just put the pieces of the puzzle together for me. Thank you.

Andy Reid says 6-8 weeks, but it's an ankle fracture not a sprain, so they don't know. They should not have played McNabb so long, they got lucky...

Mozie and NY ....... :-(

The good news is that the Panthers haven't lost their game ..... yet. Of course, they like to wait for the final two minutes to lose so there's still plenty of time ..... it's only half time ...... *sigh*

Dec. 8th. 7:30 p.m. Packers vs. Vikes. Lambeau Field.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I hope it's very COLD that evening. And preferably snowing. Hard.

To quote a great American, approx. 10,080 minutes ago, "I have no sympathy for the Eagles because we need the home field advantage..."...or something like that...

...when my friends get creepy about GW's saber rattling, I just grin, and tell them it is all a part of an orchastrated plan.
I work Saturdays at a flower shop. There's a nice lady there, a retired Marriott Exec who cuts roses to keep busy. She keeps NPR on the radio all day. Yesterday, I told her how happy I was about an essay my daughter wrote for school. My little girl got an A-, which is great, but the real news was that her essay was just the way it should be. [An inane topic, btw: the assignment was to explain how you would make a new government on another planet if the world blew up... My daughter said to me, "Daddy, I told them I'd make it communist." I said, "Why?". "Cuz the teacher will like it." My baby!]

What I was so happy about was that she constructed good sentences, none of that drawn out, comma-ridden meandering typical of kids' writing. Her sentences were precise, not simplistic, and strong. We've been working on this for a while, and she did it all on her own. I told this to the flower shop lady, explaining that I'd prefer "See Dick Run. She Jane run." type sentences than complicated ones. She said, "Oh, you mean like how the President speaks?"

Let's just say that she got a ten-minute lecture on the President's wizardry that concluded that this wooman listens to too much NPR.

Made Nicollo's day, $11.25 an hour and all.
