In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
aver\uh-VUR\, transitive verb:
[Inflected forms: averred; averring]:
1. To affirm with confidence; to declare in a positive manner, as in confidence of asserting the truth.
2. (Law) To assert, claim, or declare as a fact.
Etymology: Aver is from Old French-Medieval French averer, from Medieval Latin adverare, to confirm as authentic, from Latin ad-, ad- + Medieval Latin verare, from Latin verus, true. Other words deriving from verus are very, which sometimes has the sense of "true"; verify, to prove the truth of; and verdict, a decision or judgment, literally a "true-saying" (verus + dictum, saying).

"LMAO"
.... Yep. Sure enuf.
Ya know ---
If that A*s she refers does ever fall off, she's got everythong right there to sew it back on again: threads, hole punchers, needles, and a multi-holed much felt warm fuzzy box to keep all her raft stuff in.....

Robt Honey, you better head for the hills!
ROFLOL
To: xsmommy
Did you get the one like this?

That's the one that I thought sounded most like what you needed.
To: VRWCmember
I have used that hole punch on leather. That was in my old leather-making-outfits day. You know, the stuff with the fringe.
I don't know how well it will work on felt, though. It might rip the felt.

Oh sure, now someone's awake. Where were you at 4am when I was walking the floor? :-)
To: RikaStrom
You're a floorwalker?!?!?!
I'm shocked!
(Well, actually, I'm an engineer, and it appears, you're a floorwalker.)

Well, good morning to you, Miss Rika!
I've been awake for the past hour or so waiting for the diatribe from the regulars in the morning. LOL!

LOL! I'm only a floorwalker when I can't sleep Robt.
I apparently scratched my cornea yesterday and now my eye is pretty much swollen shut. I'm telling you, it looks like I caught an elbow to the eye. OUCH.
And because of that, I couldn't sleep, so there I was, 4am and no one to talk too. (pout, sniffle, cry... oh wait, that's the eye talking, nevermind)
To: Slip18
LOL, I have been checking in periodically. I've been playing with the new puppy. She's loosing her baby teeth so I have to be careful where I step. They're sharp little things!
To: RikaStrom
Eyes heal quickly. How the heck did you scratch your cornea? A paper cut?

i didn't get the punch that Vast pictured there, but a single punch that spozedly will go thru leather and i am hoping it will work on the felt. i haven't had a chance to test it out yet.

Those baby teeth are not as sharp on the floor as they are in your hand or arm. Dang, those little things are sharp.
How old is she now?

Those single punch ones are a lot easier to use, and it should go through felt.
Your Brownie Project sounds like fun.

Those little razor sharp teeth can do some damage to the skin. Thank goodness their little jaws aren't as strong as a teenage dog!
