The flowers are getting pretty scroungy-looking now, so that's why I did a bunch of effects on the picture.

I tried playing with the effects .. but I could never get it to look ok .. this was the closest I could get .. I really think I need a better software and one that is easy to use might help too .. lol

Jonah Goldberg wrote a great article about this. I don't recall the exact details but he said something like, as the West continues to watch this part of the world become smaller in the rear view mirror of progress, their dignity and "sublime values" (I give up?) are the only things they have left. I'll try and find the article, it fits in exactly with what Sullivan is saying.
