While the American people have finally given x42 the thumbs down he's desperately deserved, it's another matter entirely to think the RATS can dump him so easily. Realistically, there is no one who can claim the mantle of King RAT from him. Daschle and Gephardt have both failed to deliver, so they're out. The hard left will never allow Lieberman to take the reigns, and nobody really wants Algore. The Democrat Party got into bed with Bubba, now they're stuck with him.

I wonder if Maynard Jackson will try and take the McAuliffe job. He was the ex-mayor of Atlanta that theX42 group shoved aside.

Things are very bleak in Ratville, aren't they? You're right...they have no one to lead the party.

As I personally heard Bob Shrum say to Bill Clinton a week ago Monday on the southbound Acela Express to Newark:

"Mr. President. I can't thank you enough for everything you are doing for the party!"

Bury it with a shovel..then bury the shovel.

Seal the remains in Yucca Mountain, with the rest of the radioactive and toxic waste.

The best one from DU I have heard is:

"I'm going to relieve my pain by sticking one hand in a running garbage disposal while pounding rock salt into my eyes with the other!"

Good morning Chairman and everyone...greetings from liberated Washington, DC!!!!

This is such a wonderful morning I can hardly stand it! Last night we had a cleasning rain and this morning the fog is clearing to a beautiful sunny day in our Nation's Capital! The Lord is good indeed!

Democrats are in total disarray here this morning. They have a teeeeeny victory with Chris Van Hollen winning Maryland's 8th District, but that is of course totally swamped by the historic nationwide sweep by the GOP, and especially by the convincing victory of Bob Ehrlich in the Maryland governor's race. I could not be happier that I will not have to look at Kathleen Kennedy Townsend's horse face for the next 8 years!

I could go on and on and on....this is one of the happiest days of my 30 years in politics!!!!

We'd better get all the GOP warhorses out there.<p. Recounts have, in recent years, had a habit of losing Republican votes!

If Thune has indeed pulled it out in South Dakota, Linc Chaffee is no longer a threat. As it is, the RATS better start hoping that Zell Miller stays on the plantation.

She is going to be the butt of family jokes - I can see it now.

A Kennedy is not supposed to lose elections. Most of all in a state that is so leftist there hasn't been a pubbie governor since the 60s. She's the number two in a two-term Administration. And, yet, she lost.

She'd better be careful at the family bar-b-ques.
