We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
THE SENATE HAS BEEN LIBERATED!!!
THE DASHCLEAN CAPTIVITY HAS COME TO AN END!!!
In the pre-game analysis yesterday, the media pundits, the media talking heads, the leftist prognasticators who are all visionary gave the following pronouncements:
The demoflops would either take control of the House or reduce the GOP majority.
The demoflops would hold on to, or increase, their majority in the Senate.
The demoflops would take a majority of the state houses.
The demoflops would win in the state of Florida.
Now that the game has been played, and the contest settled, it is time to look at the scoreboard.
The headline in today's Washington Pravda says it all:
1. House - demoflops FAILED. The GOP has at least maintained their current majority. The current status is:
GOP - 226
Criminal Party - 204
Can't Decide Which Party - 1
There are still four races that have not been decided. These are:
CO 07 - GOP leading 48-46% with 88% counted
LA 05 - headed to runoff, 3 GOP candidates with 66% of the vote
NM 01 - GOP losing 49-51% with 98% counted
TX 23 - GOP losing 47-52% with 74% counted
2. Senate - demoflops FAILED. The GOP has gained absolute majority. The widow Carnahan has lost her race, so applying Missouri law, Daschle is no longer the Illigitimate Majority Leader, and resumes his correct title of Minority Leader.
LATE BREAKING - MINNESOTA CALLED FOR COLEMAN!
GOP - 51
Criminal Party - 46
Can't Decide Which Party - 1
There are still two races left to call:
Louisiana - headed to runoff, 3 GOP candidate with 51% of the vote South Dakota - Thune(R) leads by 949 votes with 99% counted
3. Governors - demoflops FAILED. The GOP retains a majority of the state houses.
GOP - 26
Criminal Party - 19
Can't Decide Which Party - 0
There are still five races to decide:
AL - Incumbent demoflop leads by 3,139 with 100% counted. Likely recount.
AZ - GOP losing 44-47% with 99% counted. Likely recount.
OK - GOP losing by 6,357 votes. Likely recount.
OR - GOP losing 47-48% with 76% counted.
VT - GOP leading 45-42% (13% for 8 minor candidates) with 96% counted.
The demoflops hoped to legitimize Carnahan. They failed.
The demoflops hoped to win in Minnesota with Mondale. They failed.
The demoflops hoped to cashier Jeb Bush in Florida. They failed. JEB WINS BY SEVEN POINTS! NO RECOUNTS, HANGING CHADS, OR MISSING ELECTRONS HERE!!
The demoflops hoped the voters in Northern Virginia and Tidewater Virginia would willingly vote to raise their own taxes. They failed - on both counts.
The demoflops hoped to make the election a referendum that would denounce the President. The President picked up the gauntlet. THE DEMOFLOPS FAILED IN EVERY CATEGORY POSSIBLE!
IT IS A COMPLETE DEFEAT FOR THE CRIMINAL PARTY.
Tomorrow - we get down to business. But...
TODAY - WE RELISH OUR FULL VICTORY.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Can we also pause to salute the voters of Massachusetts for defying religious prejudice? In that state, a candidate named O?Brien attacked her opponent for belonging to a sinister, alien church -- this time, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Religious fear is an ancient theme in New England politics, but it stopped working sometime around 1940, and it?s good to see that the theme is as dead as ever. Charming, competent Mitt Romney won handily, despite (or maybe because of) a shrill attack on him by Hillary Clinton herself.
Sweet.
I hope: (1) the GOP files suit (I think I saw something somewhere that says they have) over the fact that at least one, if not several, rat precicnts were allowed to stay open beyond the statutory closing deadline, and that (2) the votes cast after the closing time would be invalidated.
That would, as I've come to understand, give the election to Thune.
The GOP must fight, at every turn, any shennanigans by the Criminal Party!
I'm still new to Tennessee, but I'm not too afraid of the income tax issue. I think the issue got so much negative publicity and many of those behind the income tax issue were successfully rooted out and exposed (not all, but some of the main ones) that it will be a while before anyone really tries to pass an income tax.
I'm not happy that Bredesen won and I think Van Hilleary would have made a wonderful governor, but whatever Bredesen might have otherwise tried, he won't be able to get away with it because people are extremely focused on the income tax issue.
ring.
OJ? bubba here. Anyway you can hop in your white Bronco to take the news away from the events of the day? Do it for your 1st black prez, bro.
Sheesh..I think I just gagged myself. :-)
That's handy. I am in Virginia Beach while my husband works all over the NE coast. I think Virginia is a beautiful state.

Someone posted earlier that it took us 18 yrs to make sure that Mondale lost all 50 states...as of now, he has!!!!!

I wasn't so hopeful that the redistricting would pull in changes to the political picture. The Dems are pretty much entrenched here, I think. I'm sure you are in a different precinct than I. What was the polling place like yesterday when you voted?
Talk in a bit.
I believe the old total was Rats 211, Pubs 223, 1 Ind.
