We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our Freedom, die in vain!!
Yesterday, a 7.9 magnitude quake struck Alaska, south of Fairbanks. The quake was felt as far away as New Orleans. Only one injury has been reported. The Alaska Pipeline is intact, but shut down this morning. Some support structures are broken about 50 miles south of Delta. Damage exists on the Alaska Highway. There is also some damage to the Parks Highway, as shown in the following photo:
Zogby has Jeb Bush with a 15-point lead going into the last day before the election.
Mondale still leads Coleman, but only by 5 percentage points.
Carnahan and Talent are tied in the Zogby poll, both at 46%.
The New York Times is conceding the Republicans will likely make gains in the House.
And authorities are investigating whether a shooting in Clinton, Maryland, was related to the sniper. While previously not believing that to be the case as it didn't fit the MO - the victim was shot several times at close range, but still managed to survive, authorities are taking another look because a laptop computer owned by the victim was among the items recovered from the sniper's car.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Greetings LJ...welcome to the best and FRiendliest thread on FR.
Been busy at work and taking Mom to physical therapy and Dr's appts and taking care of Oliver and traveling to and fro....
I am feeling pretty optimistic about tomorrows election, although I am sure a few races will entail weeks of litigation and or recounts...but in the end we shall prevail..in both houses.
Hate to impose again, especially with the busy day ahead tomorrow...but am going to ask for a few prayers for my sweetie pie considering what he has been going through lately...those who have been there know how some days can be...so between that and new career prospects...I just wanted to throw in a few more prayers for him from our FRiends at ATRW...thanks.

He NEVER looks the reporters in the face, he is always gazing at some spot on the table. No eye contact. Maybe because he knows he's illigitimate, he really shouldn't have the position.

Just got an email from an old college pal of mine, who lives in Minnesota. She asks for prayer for them tomorrow, because she says that if Mondale gets in, she thinks she will go nuts!
I will never forget that she and I were among the very few conservatives at our university, on the night that Reagan won. We collected our little group and had a grand celebration at some of the little bars we used to frequent in Chicago!
I think the phone calls are a good thing too, as it energizes the base. I guess I just wish that they could be targeted a little more precisely, because in the fairly mushy middle, I'm not sure they always work.

Prayers on the way.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. :)

It was a great charge listening to Larry Sabato on Special Report tonite talking about how Mondale did not fare too well on the debate today...
Also listened to Lousenberg being interviewed by Sean Hannity today...that was quite amusing because Louse couldn't get two words out without hammering and stammering....
It's like Night of the Living Dead Candidates.

I think I must be a few years younger than you, but I had to go through the same transformation. I was from a very strong Republican family who never thought of voting for any other party. But the more "education" I got, the more liberal I got. Finally, though, the Republican genes came through.
A turning point for me was recognizing how much the media was involved in keeping up the liberal house of cards. Once that was recognized, the whole illusion disappeared.

Gonna take a break, 'rest the brain' a few, man oh man, it is going to be busy here the next couple of days.

Thank you for the welcome.
I will certainly keep your "sweetie pie" and you in my prayers. Believe it or not I have been praying for many or all of you from time to time. I was wondering the other day how he really was doing. But I am overwhelmed with the support and prayers they you all have for each other. You all are an amazing group of people. I am certainly glad to get to "meet" all of you.
