LOL! My son is calling me...his sister bought him Leadership by Rudy Guiliani for his birthday, and he says it is a great book!

I don't understand people who AREN'T interested in this stuff...it is a combination of soap operas and the NFL! How could one be NOT interested?

This article was by someone who was very well-informed politically. I agree with those who don't know the issues or just listen to TV ads and aren't informed, but to purposely not vote as a protest of some kind, well, they can't complain with my earshot! :)

I'm hoping TN votes NO on the lottery, too, Mr. M. If y'all get one then NC will definitely be next since we would then be surrounded. So far the no-lottery faction has prevailed here but if TN gets one, too, I don't think it will be long until NC follows suit.

Have you seen the flyer from the Schneider for Sheriff campaign that has the mayor and all the Rats so upset? My husband just brought in the mail and there it was...We both burst out laughing! It is the most hideous picture of Julia Carson that you could imagine. I thought the Rats were exaggerating, but THEY WEREN'T.

Try to get your hands on one of these flyers. If you freepmail your address to me I will mail it to you. It is truly horrible.

I would post it but I don't know how to do pictures. Is there a site that explains how to post pictures? We have a scanner.

Wow, the latest poll has Sununu of New Hampshire up by 4 points over Shaheen. This is getting to be very interesting, all of a sudden those "close" races that were trending democrat have swung Republican. I am keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow, I'm hoping Peter Jennings has another breakdown on national TV tomorrow night, just like he did in '94.

Well, it isn't totally genetic, as some of my sisters are basically non-interested. The only thing I can figure out is that some of us got the politics gene, and understand why it is important.

Everyone else spends Novembers in a pleasant stupor, looking forward to Thanksgiving. LOL!

You go Doggie! Exactly right. I feel so strongly about the right to vote. Even if there are no candidates who we feel comfortable voting for, write in a candidate. And there are issues to vote on, and other races besides the national ones.

You need to scan it and get it on a host site, so that it can be linked.

I have a friend who also got the flyer, and she says that as much as the Rats whine, she has sen Julia Carson NUMEROUS times looking just like the picture. LOL!

I heard earlier on FOX that Cleland is in real trouble in GA ..... and I thought he was a shoo-in. Some veterans' group endorsed Chambliss ..... and Cleland is a disabled vet! The President's visit there over the weekend didn't hurt things for the GOP either, I'm sure ....... :-)

Ok, now I'm really, really stepping away from FR for a while.

FOLKS, please, please keep this election in your prayers, if you are not much for praying, try it, the Lord would love to hear from you, he listens I promise. If you can't compose a prayer just make it a one liner, He already knows what your prayer will be. We need help my friends, and He is the helper of all helpers.

Our (non-political) daughter in Raleigh has registered to vote and will vote a straight Republican ticket. I am so proud of her!

You know, there is hope. When I was younger (high school and college) I was a democrat. Guess who made me change? JIMMY CARTER!! He was the last dem I voted for, and I voted for Reagan in 1980.

There is a Republican gene...it has to do with paying attention, thinking logically, and desiring truth and justice.
