I wonder if Terry McAuliffe could be Checkin? He has the morals for it. And did anyone ever decide for sure who was actually Bill Jeff Blythes father?

Part Chechin....
Totally fraudulent.
You'll have to get one of those 60 foot boats they've been talking about.
No more wading.
Call your nearest boat dealer and tell him you want to order catalogues.
You and Swervie can host pirate shows in the inland water ways.
:-)
Brutal sounds a bit kind.
Now Prentice, do you know All the rules? After I got too busy to ref, I used to do comentary on the radio at the high school games. After ten-years of officiating and working at it way too hard, (according to one family member) it was obvious to me that most players, coaches and fans do not know the rules of football and how they are applied. Now I could go on all night on this topic, and unfortunately, there are a lot of really crappy officials out there.
One misunderstanding constantly occurs between what day you watch football. Everyone gets so used to watching NFL football on Sunday, they don't realize that there is a HUGE difference between what happens at Saturday games is a lot different than what goes on during Sunday games. There are about 150 different rules between high school (National Federation) and NCAA rules and a lot of differences between NCAA and NFL. But you are right, I would be awsome out there.
Big Ten officials are not very good for some reason. They blow way too many obvious calls.
That being said....Michigan didn't lose because of the officiating.
That is interesting, and the first time I have heard it.
That's good to hear...one of my reflections after every game I did, be it Pop Warner, JV, or a big high school game on friday night, was, did I do anything to effect the outcome of the game? Did I blow an interpretation or worse, was I out of position to make a call because of bad mechanics.
People don't realize that "mechanics", where you are for every down and distance situation, are as important as rule application. When coaches used to holler and yell about a call, I could easily ignore them unless one of them said, "...hey ref, you were out of position to make that call." On the few times that was true, it really bothered me. Officials generally know the rules very well...being in position to make the call is the difference between a fair and a very good official. That is the realm of officiating mechanics.
The spectacle is overwhelming. 112 thousand fans today. Big time grilling for tailgating (love to stick that in the enviroweenies faces), Great band....Very fine looking Cheerleaders....
Iowa is the sleeper team of the NCAA. I think they may be the best team this year. And they'll never play for #1....they lost to Iowa State, and I do believe it was bad officiating that gave away that game.
A month is pretty rough. I struggle with just a couple of days.
So I gotta go wine and dine a very fine lady now.
Later....
