We will not live in fear!
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The elections in Iraq are over, and with 100% of the precincts counted, Saddam has won another term as President with 100% of the vote. Not even the former Soviet Union could boast that performance.
United Airlines is in serious financial trouble, and appears headed for bankruptcy.
And, in the UK, there has been a sharp rise in support for a war against Iraq after the attacks on Bali.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Just searching from memory I found 5 of the shootings have Islamic Centers within 20 miles.
Chair if you get a chance could you please use that mapping software for me.
How's she doing in that race? Hope she's going down.
HOW THANKFUL I am for him!!!!
I heard on the radio, on the way home this evening, that Mrs. Carnahan has now apologized for her comments yesterday. However, when Jean's actual words were quoted, I heard...."I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I fully support the President"......now I'll go off to try to document this, and see if there are any local polls.....
Zogby - Missouri Senate: Carnahan Down in Latest Poll **[also NJ, SC, TX, TN data]**
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Missouri Sen. Jean Carnahan apologized Wednesday for commenting that the White House ``can't get Osama bin Laden, so they're going to get me.''
Made Sunday at a Democratic luncheon in Clay County, Mo., Mrs. Carnahan's remarks were greeted with laughter and applause: ``I'm the No. 1 target of the White House. They can't get Osama bin Laden, so they're going to get me.''
CNN aired the comments Tuesday during a story on her campaign. Republicans immediately accused Mrs. Carnahan of making light of the war on terrorism.
Missouri Republican Party chairwoman Ann Wagner called the comment ``despicable;'' Republican National Committee chairman Mark Racicot called it ``unusually odd and inappropriate,'' and Republican Senate challenger Jim Talent said: ``I'm sure Mrs. Carnahan didn't mean to say what she said'' and that ``most Missourians would accept a quick apology.''
In a statement issued Wednesday, Mrs. Carnahan said: ``I understand that some people may have been offended by my comment. I certainly did not intend that, and I offer my apologies. I have been and continue to be a strong supporter of the president's efforts to fight terrorism.
``In fact, my comment was born out of a bit of frustration that I have supported this president on several of his top initiatives, including his defense budget and his tax cuts, yet the White House is still very focused on defeating me,'' she said.

"Me, me, me, I'm the poor victim." I've seen this before, but this time, I think she's really stepped into it.....
Talent's response is great, IMO ..... classy but not letting her off the hook.
North Korea tells the US they have a nuclear weapons program...
This one could wind up being bloody.....if we have to go in..
So glad you could drop by!
My gosh! That woman is so petty she wouldn't even vote for Ashcroft's nomination as Attorney General!
Green boxes represent shooting locations
Purple boxes represent Islamic mosques or centers
Red circles show extreme proximity
Carnahan isn't petty...she is easily manipulated by Daschle. She is a dim bulb and will do whatever the leadership says. Bah.
Shoulder is better although still tender. I will probably go to bed early tonight wih a double dose of Advil.
