Can you think of anything else that should be removed from our grocers shelves due to political correctness?

My wife is South Carolina born & raised (Charleston), and introduced me to a wonderful mustard-based bar-b-que sauce called "Maurice's", which is marketed by Maurice Bessinger, who owns "Piggy Park" in Columbia, the capitol city. Without a doubt, the best I have ever had. However, since Maurice is so outspoken in his beliefs and his Southern heritage, the NAACP decided that he was a racist, and urged people in the Carolinas to not only boycott his restaurants, but also his products. It was pulled from the shelves at Piggly Wiggly, Food Lion, Winn Dixie, WalMart, KMart, and nearly all others, and now is only available at his restaurant and on-line from his website. It is a shame, isn't is, that in this new millenium, one cannot express his beliefs and not be persecuted for them? Whatever happened to freedom of speech and expression? BTW, did I mention he still, to this day, flys a Confederate Battle Flag on his restaurant? The South WILL rise again!

Actually, there are a lot of good non-political reasons not to eat white bread, rice, flour, pasta, etc...

Damn, and I was planning on dressing up as a white aunt Jemima for Halloween. One halloween many years ago I dressed up as Aunt Jemima, with liberal use of the theatrical makeup and black leotards. I had to make a stop at the store enroute to where I was going and as luck would have it the cashier was a black man. He was cool but I was soooooo embarrassed.

When I was a teenager I met Mrs. Hines, the widow of Duncan Hines. Up to that point I'd assumed it was a made-up name. I recently found out that Mr. Hines had been a famous restaurant reviewer that had lent his name to the cake mix.

Seperating chicken and turkey cuts into "white meat" and "dark meat"...
[T]he prime minister was at a reception where cold fried chicken was being served. The grand old man said, "I think I'd like a breast." His hostess admonished him. "Mr. Churchill, nice people don't use that word for that part of the anatomy. We say 'white meat.'" The next day, he sent her flowers, a very nice corsage. Attached was his official card, to which he had added, "I would be most obliged if you would pin this corsage on your white meat."

But it shows you how rediculous all this stuff has gotten. Why should anyone feel that way?
I agree with you, wouldn't be me either.
