Lili slamming intor the LA coast this morning (not sure how long we'll be at work today since we're still getting winds and tidal surge over here in Biloxi)

Oh well, the coffee's hot and strong, so I guess I won't complain too much!

Discussion:

Westward drift of this system is now starting to become of some concern to the coastal regions of the United States, though some weakening is likely after VT +24 hrs.

CAT II HURRICANE LILI ADVISORY 48

Discussion:

The cooler SSTs of the northern Gulf have caused some weakening of Lili and a collapse of the eyewall; some further decrease is likely before landfall.

The spin down has caused an expansion of the wind field. Hurricane force winds now extend outward up to 65 miles from center, and tropical storm winds to 195 miles.

The strike point is moved slightly eastward from yesterday's daytime forecast packages, but slightly westward from the package issued at 11 PM ET. It is anticipated the storm will make landfall in Vermillion Bay, just to the east of Marsh Island. Landfall time will be later this morning - probably around the time the 11 AM ET forecast package is issued.

Flooding due to storm surge is still a major concern - the confined areas of Vermillion Bay will serve to magnify the height of the surge, and coastal areas under 20 feet need to watch for innundation.

The postion of Lili at 7 AM ET was 29.0N 91.9W. Max wind has decreased to 100 MPH.

A.M. TO ALL FROM THE MS GULF COAST, UDA!!!!

The storm is slowing down, not bad here on the coast at all, some tidal surge but little wind, rain not too bad, everything is going to be fine.

Then there is Kyle, I see him sitting off the east coast, lost, rambling around like he is saying 'I know I can, I know I can', kinda reminds me of the democracts, lost at sea, searching, can't find where to go, rambling around.

Looks like the 'Stoogies of Badhdad' has got a lot of folks mad at them in congress, one of their own, spouting off at the mouth, but have you noticed the missing of one of them? He is not saying anything, wonder what he is thinking about now.

On my street are gobs of republicans, save one, a democract, in fact he even looks like one. WE were all cutting our lawns at the same time yesterday and got into a conversation. I was surprised that HE made the statement that what was done in NJ was wrong, not fair at all. He talked bad about his party and REALLY bad mouthed little tommy d. There is hope my friends for this fellow, at least all this has him thinking. Oh yeah, he like President W, said he was honest, sincere AND was not like the 'last one' (Zipper).
