Former congressman David Bonior
"I think the president would mislead the American people." ~~ Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Washington
McDermott said these words while standing on Iraqi soil.
Contact these worthless scum and let them know what the majority of Americans think of their trip to Iraq.

(586) 469-3232 (not knowing if the email addy still works for Bonior, I called this number.
They still answer, "Congressman Bonior's office", I left a message.)
In case you're wondering where you've heard the name McDermott before, remember back to 1996.
Mr. McDermott on his way to Christmas shopping for his grandchildren, he and his wife just happened to intercept a phone conversation between Congressman John Boehner (R-Ohio) and House Speaker Newt Gingrich and others and then leaked the tape to the New York Times and other media.
New York had a movie premiere worthy of a nice chianti Monday night. "Red Dragon," which brings Anthony Hopkins back to the screen as Hannibal the Cannibal, unspooled at the Ziegfeld Theater, with guests partying in a roped-off section of Grand Central Station afterwards, PEOPLE.com reports. Among the guests: the movie's stars, Hopkins, Edward Norton, Harvey Keitel and Ralph Fiennes, as well as rap entrepreneur Russell Simmons, self-actualization guru Tony Robbins and former first daughter Chelsea Clinton, with her longtime boyfriend Ian Klaus. link to full story
Longtime? I thought they didn't "hook up" (college student vernacular) until November, when they met at an anti-US protest at Oxford.
This I gotta see! Chris Matthews and Rudy both going after the Torch....Hot dang!
I've been trying to get the straight story on this for years. I was registered I think as a dem -- I didn't realize years ago that party registration was determined by which ballot you choose in the primaries-- even though I voted pretty much half and half over the years till the early 90s (and now I will never vote for a dem again in my life, of course).
I've tried twice to re-register as a Republican, but I've gotten the run-around when I try to do this.
They tell me that it doesn't matter how I'm registered. I tried to switch at my city hall, and I called the League of Women Voters to get information on this (before I found out what a lib group they are).
Anyone know whether it really doesn't matter how you're registered (of course I don't believe anything they tell me) and why I shouldn't be able to switch if I want to? I should add I live in a very gore-ish part of the world.
Don't let them give you the run around! March into the register's office and demand they give you a change! And do it soon, because soon it will be too late to switch before this coming November's election.
You would want to be registered as a republican because then the party will be able to send you information about their candidates. I get a flyer each election telling me who all the candidates are.
It would seem that they don't want you to change so they can claim they have X amount of dems registered, especially if you live in a dem county.
Do it, do it today!! :-)
Wasn't that some sight at the Torricelli Show?! Did you notice the blond lady standing behind him? I like to watch the people standing behind the people who are making a statement. Can't remember exactly which moments but that lady made a few saucer eyes at some of the self serving statements from the Bobster.
Maybe it was just my TV but her eyes were crooked. One eye lower than the other. And around the corners of her mouth it looked like she was healing from some sort of injury. Perhaps it was bad lighting.
I was amazed at how the Bobster went on and on. He is really in love with himself!
I was gone for half the day, now I have lots of reading to do. Guilders were busy yesterday!
We almost have a cool feel in the air! C'mon on down Mr. Autumn!! At least one more month of hurricane season, ick.
You may kiss my hand Kevie.

Cherie: I'm only going to put up with this monkey's bum for just so long.

LOL!!
Berlin's Brandenburg Gate sits behind a cover on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, just two days before its reopening on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002. Boy, they have much nerve letting the head of the party who didn't want reunification in the first place mark that anniversary!!

I think you've hit on it, right there, Betty! It wouldn't surprise me at all, and it once crossed my mind in fact. Yes, I'll work on this again, it makes me mad. Thanks for the advice.
