The Guild 9-30-2002 Traitors to America

Posted on 09/30/2002 6:25:03 AM PDT by BigWaveBetty

Rep. Mike Thompson, D-California, left, and Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Washington, in Baghdad.

Former congressman David Bonior

"I think the president would mislead the American people." ~~ Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Washington

McDermott said these words while standing on Iraqi soil.

Contact these worthless scum and let them know what the majority of Americans think of their trip to Iraq.

Thompson's website
Bonior
59 N. Walnut, Suite 305, Mt. Clemens, MI 48043-5677
(586) 469-3232 (not knowing if the email addy still works for Bonior, I called this number.
They still answer, "Congressman Bonior's office", I left a message.)

In case you're wondering where you've heard the name McDermott before, remember back to 1996.

Mr. McDermott on his way to Christmas shopping for his grandchildren, he and his wife just happened to intercept a phone conversation between Congressman John Boehner (R-Ohio) and House Speaker Newt Gingrich and others and then leaked the tape to the New York Times and other media.

This must be very frustrating for Clinton, Gore, et al.:

BLACKPOOL, England, Oct 1 (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Tony Blair said on Tuesday that unless the world dealt with the danger posed by Iraq the authority of the United Nations would be ruined. ...

"If at this moment, having found the collective will to recognise the danger, we lose our collective will to deal with it, then we will destroy not the authority of America or Britain but of the United Nations itself," he said in a speech to his ruling Labour Party's annual conference in northern England.

"Sometimes, and in particular when dealing with a dictator, the only chance of peace is a readiness for war," he said. full story

METAMORPHOSIS

A caterpillar asked God, "What happens when I die?"
God replied, "Have you seen the butterfly?"
The caterpillar, "Yes. Do I have to die to become one?"
God said, "No, not really. A part of you dies, but another,
stronger part of you continues to live -
it just changes forms."

Yes, it is possible to get rabies by inhaling bat guano - it usually occurs w/spelunkers. It being dark in the cave, the organism has a better chance of surviving (exposure to direct sunlight kills the virus after a period of time) infected guano gets aerosolized and breathed in.

There's a huge difference between disagreeing publicly with the president, as opposed to what these chumps did, i.e. calling him a liar and stating that he would put his own feelings for Saddam ahead of what's the best approach for our country.

Rush is saying that the dims are still planning on running Patsy Mink, who died yesterday, for her congressional seat in Hawaii.

I saw Toricelli's "Ode To Self" yesterday and kept having to crank my jaw off the ground - his self absorption is even stronger than Clinton's. And when he praised Clinton for his "courageous" fight to remain president, I just couldn't believe it. If that weren't enough, he apologized to Clinton for not having as much courage as evil former president.

The man NEVER said he did anything wrong - only that he made a few bad judgements, but didn't do "what I've been accused of" -- The democrat party is one of the vilest organizations on the planet. Where was the democrat "conscience of the senate" Lieberman?

This party should have been condemning Toricelli yesterday, not standing in line to hug him and mugging for the camera during his self aggrandizing speech.

Torch's press conferences was incredible. He and Clinton have a lot in common. They really think they didn't do anything wrong, when both were on the take for years. All they need is to join forces with Ira Einhorn, another completely innocent person.

Oh, his "speech" is not to be missed and should be seen on video rather than listened to on the radio because you'd never believe it if you didn't see it with your own eyes.

The democrat party wouldn't know integrity if it bit every one of them in the @ss. And if no democrat has come out today to separate themselves from the abject corruption of the party as exemplified by Toricelli's narcicistic rant, then God help us all if that party remains in power in November. This country will slide into the pit of depravity.

And the Buttinski (Please Go Away) Award goes to ... Billy Jeff Clinton!!!

....At his press conference, Torricelli said the Senate's top Democrat, majority leader Thomas A. Daschle of South Dakota, had tried to talk him out of leaving the race, as did his state's other Democratic senator, Jon Corzine, and former President Bill Clinton, who phoned him from England. More on x42's visit to England (to address the Labour Party meeting):

Broon fits Bill Sep 29 2002

By Caroline Smith And Ian Hernon, Sunday Sun

Bill clinton will raise a glass to the North when he tastes our legendary Toon tipple.

The former US president will sample the region's most famous export Newcastle Brown Ale when he visits the Labour Party Conference next week.

Clinton will be a surprise guest on Tuesday at a Northern knees-up there, unofficially known as Geordie Night.

He specifically asked for an invite to the party, which has a well-deserved reputation as the most lively event in the conference week.

Blaydon MP John McWilliam said: "Northern Night is extremely popular and it is hard to get tickets for at the best of times.

"Bill Clinton will enjoy good music, good Northern humour and very good company. I am certain he will enjoy himself.

"He will find that Northern people are the most hospitable in England."

The event, held at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool, is open to North MPs, delegates, ministers and party workers and Clinton will sup his Broon Ale alongside pal, Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Blyth Valley MP Ronnie Campbell said: "He will certainly enjoy the Northern hospitality because he's a man's man, isn't he?"

However, Labour Party organisers will advise him to keep quiet about his views on the current Iraq crisis.

The outspoken ex-head of the US believes we should concentrate on hunting down al Qaida terrorists rather than on attacking Iraq.

An insider said: "That does not gel with President Bush and Tony Blair's view but he will not do or say anything which could embarrass Blair."

Clinton will also socialise with Hartlepool MP Peter Mandelson outside the conference centre.

The former Cabinet minister knows Clinton through their mutual friend, multi-millionaire banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild.

Didn't we just hear about how much he imbibed in South Africa, and now he's going "knees-up" at a "Toon tipple"? LOL

Okay, I wasn't going to say anything about the fact that reputed homosexual Kevin Spacey seems to spend a lot of time traveling with Bill Clinton (most recently to Africa), but this is looking a bit peculiar:

The Hollywood film star Kevin Spacey is to be the surprise special guest at the Labour party conference in Blackpool this week. Mr Spacey, star of K-PAX and The Usual Suspects, will arrive with former US president Bill Clinton, who is the official guest of honour at this year's party gathering.

The actor is currently accompanying Mr Clinton on a seven-day tour of Africa raising awareness and money for the former president's Aids programme. The pair will be travelling up to Blackpool after arriving in London last night.

Mr Clinton is due to speak to delegates as guest of honour on Tuesday, although exact details are being kept under wraps as part of the unprecedented security operation surrounding the conference venue. It is unclear whether Mr Spacey will address conference directly [????], appear at fringe events or simply mingle with Labour supporters.

However, in a week likely to be completely dominated by concerns over an attack on Iraq, and the seething resentment among rank-and-file party members over part-privatisation of the public services, a high-profile, stage-managed appearance by an American actor is unlikely to be warmly received.

Labour officials are also concerned that Mr Spacey, a strong supporter of Democrat causes in the US, has promised to appear at previous Labour conferences and pulled out at the last minute.[Hmmmm.]

Previous guests of honour at Labour conferences have included Gerhard Schröder, and former South African president Nelson Mandela. In advance of Mr Clinton's visit, the SAS and armed police surrounding the Winter Gardens are believed to have been complemented by the CIA. [Why, oh why?] Guardian Unlimited.

And this analysis of the Labour meetings and Clinton's appearance in Blackpool:

BILL Clinton is a confused man. The former president of the United States will this week finally get a chance to salute his buddy Tony Blair in his own back yard, to join the party faithful as they give thanks to the man who has guaranteed them almost a decade in government for the first time.

But Slick Willie has suddenly realised that he will be coming to Blackpool to defend the Prime Minister, not to praise him. Clinton, the great survivor, the Comeback Kid, is no stranger to strident, brutal opposition; what he is less used to is the sort of hostility from his own side that he will witness Blair confronting at the Labour party conference over the next few days.

“Tony Blair does not need me to defend him,” Clinton declared in the official conference magazine, before launching into a spirited and remarkably comprehensive defence of his friend. “I would expect these attacks from the right. They hate not being in power. What I find strange is that some of the left join in with relish, since Tony Blair is, after all, a successful Labour Prime Minister leading a successful, progressive Labour government tackling successfully problems which drew all of us on the centre left into politics.”

full story. It's so nice to see the Scottish press considers him a slickster, too.
