the "kidnapper's note" was the thing put there to divert attention, as an afterthought to the garotte and the cracked skull.

right, so either ricci is a hardcore heroin addict, needs his fix every day, needs cash for his fix, not trinkets he steals in the middle of the night or kidnapped victims he has to collect ransom for to feed his hardcore habit. or ... notice this is a silly path to pursue pointing to ricci as the guy.

so sueann adams and lee lin, lin lee, or l. lihn listed on this 2002 document knew ricci was the guy from 2001? kinda late don't you think for coming forth with "positive evidence" implicating ricci?

right, if he was in need of cash to get a fix he would go to the allnight convenience store, or allnight diner.

"Rather pricey for a handyman..."

You forget that Ricci had a pretty lady friend who'd gotten 50 grand in a personal injury lawsuit.

the article [DNA] has been spilled on can be dated. Like a newspaper, gasoline receipt, etc.

???????????????????

This remark takes the cake.

Ed goes to take the jeep back, and "spills his DNA" on some newspaper or gasoline receipt in the jeep." A little later he and Rick make up and the jeep goes back to Richard. I guess you are saying that Rick then finds this dated piece of paper in "his" jeep, with "DNA" on it. He's going to know there's "DNA" on it? He's going to CARE? He's not going to simply clean out the jeep, which generally includes discarding old newspapers and receipts lying around in it??? What a total crock!!! Sorry, Inspector Clousseau, this one is too ridiculous. "DOH!"

Is it possible she is not lying?

Don't be silly, Sandude.

Sue Ann Adams is one of THEM. One of those "rich" people who wouldn't give us the time of day if we tried to say "hi" to them. One of those snobby people in that neighborhood full of "millionaires."

Rich people always lie. Poor people are never poor through their own shortcomings and excesses. Poor people are always noble, even when they repeatedly commit crimes.

Therefore, it is NOT possible that she is not lying!

I think we were talking about seat covers.

What's the matter, Sandude? Oh--you mean you don't stamp the date on your seatcovers every time you touch them?

Haven't you heard? The jeep NEVER had seatcovers! Angela SAID it never had seatcovers, and as we all know, Angela, much like George Washington, is incapable of telling a lie.

Re: Ed knowing Rick's address.

If someone ran out on me after I'd agreed to let him use a jeep which he was to pay for by working it off, and which he had paid exactly nothing on so far, I'D FIND OUT HIS FRIKKIN' ADDRESS!!!

When my housepainter didn't show for 2 days, after I'd paid him money, and after he'd sworn to come back right away and start the job, you can be I found out his address in a very short time. In fact, I went and looked and found out quite a lot about him--in case I was going to have to take some sort of legal measure to get my money back.

Not to mention that anyone who knows anything about contractors (which Ed was) knows that they are always having to go and pick up their workers, b/c the workers are generally a sorry bunch of layabouts who never seem to be able to show up on time, who always have an excuse, and who lay off drunk about every other day or so unless you go to their current flop-place and get them.

I have the addresses & phone numbers of our yard man and our handyman.

Absolutely. If someone doesn't want to give me a first and last name, an address, and a working phone number, I don't want to hire them, I tell people this.

We get people coming to the door sometimes. I ask them for this info, and if they can't provide it, and if it doesn't check out, adios!! I don't hire people on the spot. If they want to work, they can give me their phone/address, and I'll call them when I want their services.

About what Ed said/didn't say in his 911 call--

Even if Ed said she'd been taken at gunpoint, police would not necessarily have taken that as fact. They'd send someone out, and go from there. They don't immediately take as fact everything they're told--even if they are told it by a "millionaire."

Notice that the info that Ricci took a $1000 bracelet and that evidence was found that he'd pawned it, is ignored.

Pawnshops can provide pretty good evidence of who pawns things, too.

Aren't we getting down to the real crux of the issue, Neenah i.e. the Smarts are wealthy, at least in your eyes, and you're not?

Actually, Jolly Green, I think that's more Varina's crux than Neenah's, LOL!

Re: Palladin's statement to the effect that DNA (in the jeep) can be dated if it's on something that has a date, such as a newspaper or receipt--

Can you BELIEVE this one???!

I'm trying really hard to figure out the scenario that must have been in the poster's mind when they posted that gem.

Ed gets in the jeep to drive it away, cuts himself and bleeds "DNA" onto, say, that day's newspaper which just happens to be lying there...

A few days later, Ed and Rick make up and Rick comes back to work for Ed and Ed lets him drive the jeep again...

Knowing that it could be an important point in clearing him OVER A YEAR LATER, Rick carefully wraps the bled-on, DNA-laden newspaper in a ziplock plastic bag, and solemnly places it in a safety deposit box...

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!
