In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

That's why I only knit blankets! It's 150 stiches across. Then you hold it up against a bed to find out if it's long enough. Pretty derned easy.

Of all the things you all mentioned the only one I don't do is knit.
When it was indicated the realtor thought we'd be able to sell this place pretty quickly and suggested we start packing some of the lesser necessities of life, one of the things I packed up was all my crafts.
That was a year ago july Needless to say I haven't done much of any of it lately.

Thanks, slippy! i can't wait to start it, but i have to finish up a housewarming gift that i am making for a friend of mine. i am down to the very last of that. i have to take xsboy up to PA for a hockey tournament this weekend. ordinarily i get to stitch en route on these trips, but because xshub is going to be out of town, i am going to have to do the driving, which means no stitching on the road : (
unless i can figure out some way to do that....

Only outside.
I've been collecting Portmeirion china for years and years. Botanical Garden is the motif for me.
Here it is.

When Cyber and I decided to get married, he bought me a hutch to put all of my stuff in. I had one at the other house, but he didn't like it.
I think Cyber broke a piece of it one time, and looked on line to find a replacement. This is funny. Cyber on line met some English folks who were selling the replacement piece. Cyber took a picture of the table setting and the hutch with the china in it. The English folks were amazed that someone in (of all places) AZ collected this stuff.

that is beautiful. you could surely find an xs pattern to complement the china. my everyday dishes are pfaltzgraf Naturewood, because it has the beehive in the pattern. the kitchen opens off of the family room, so the bee motif has crept into there as well.
