*LOL* When I was there tonight I was the only person looking at the photo exhibit (and it was very poorly done - I look at them at every fair, and this one is the worst) I got some "honorable mentions" and a couple of third places, too. A few of my pictures didn't win anything. Like this one for architecture/building - color:

Nada - Zilch.

Nada - Zilch.

Its an interesting picture, but somehow depressing.

It sums up the little dead town of Satin, Texas too well, I guess.

"You should have put your phone number in fine print on the pictures. Maybe some magazine folks were scouting around."

Or some handsome conservative gentlemen with possibilities who have a thing for redheads.

Perhaps a few more Hispanics in the picture would have scored in the "People, Color" category?

conservative gentlemen with possibilities

everyone has possibilities, you have to spot the ones with probabilities.

"I see too many impossibilities all the time"

I know what you mean. I think that's why I gave up on dating for so long. But I figure that I have discovered FR since then, where intelligence and testosterone actually seem compatible, so maybe there's hope after all.

HI,

I did head for the yowl....and found nothing..went all over the place. The big gray tabby was there...I think Yummie must be eating varmits or maybe he is coming around very late and munching what I can leave out for him...I go out late and and at all hours.

Someone suggested posting a picture. If Sammie is around or if Wings or Flash know where she put the picture of YumYum I sent her earlier last spring, maybe they know how to post it. I don't have the stuff to let me do that. I could snail mail a pic to someone who knows how to post it if they want to share an addy in the FM. So far today..no luck apart from the yowl. I talked to a gal just this week who got her little kitty (One of them the other is still awol) after 3 weeks. So I still have hope he will turn up.

I appreciate all the concern and cheers for his safe return. One of these days.....

Is it possible to have four more weeks of Demo meltdown?

I'd settle comfortably for 2 out of 4....

False alarm. It was just a GeBhardt fundraiser... I guess you have to pay to see Babs make a fool of herself.

She can't even spell Barbara... she's Barbra. *L* How could she be expected to spell someone else's name correctly?

Once we had a dog named Fred. He was a big teddy bear of a dog that just loved everybody. He was a mixture of Malemute and Great Pyrenees. We used to take him out to run all the time. One day my ex-husband had him out for a run near where he worked. When they returned Fred was sitting outside the door while my ex went in to get him some water. When he came back out, Fred was gone. We looked all over for him. He would never have run off so we just guessed that someone had taken him. He was really a beautiful dog and there were some kids in the neighborhood that had taken him a couple of times before. Seven months later when I was on the way to the grocery store I saw Fred walking down the road and I picked him up. Turns out that he had been very well cared for. Don't give up on Yummy!
