Come to think of it - I'm about to beat the shit outta this mouse. It keeps sticking and sticking and sticking - I think it's had it.

SweetLiberty posted this last night that should solve your mouse problems:

"Re: Replacement of Mouse Balls.

"If a mouse fails to operate or should it perform erratically, it may need a ball replacement. Mouse balls are now available as FRU (Field Replacement Units). Because of the delicate nature of this procedure, replacement of mouse balls should only be attempted by properly trained personnel.

"Before proceeding, determine the type of mouse balls by examining the underside of the mouse. Domestic balls will be larger and harder than foreign balls. Ball removal procedures differ depending upon the manufacturer of the mouse. Foreign balls can be used with the pop-off method. Domestic balls are replaced by using the twist off method. Mouse balls are not usually static sensitive. However, excessive handling can result in sudden discharge.

"Upon completion of ball replacement, the mouse may be used immediately. It is recommended that each person have a pair of spare balls for maintaining optimum customer satisfaction. Any customer missing his balls should contact the local personnel in charge of removing and replacing
these necessary items.

"Next thing you know, girls will be flaunting thier A.C. books in public to get male attention!"

Well, it certainly would be a good tool for weeding out the bad element.

The hook up was postponed until Tuesday or Wednesday but I have a nice new Desk there with it sitting on it. It will be this coming week for sure. I'm really looking forward to spending some time at night on it. Should be much more fun than from here.

I have a trackball mouse. I love it. The ball itself is easy to clean, but the insides get hairballs that are a real pain to get rid of!

What a dissapointment! That must be like coming down on Christmas morning and not be allowed to open the presents.

Does your have a little circle with the ball in the middle? The circle of plastic around it has arrows that looks like you should be able to turn it and just pop it off. The ball actually feels sort of rubbery. I'll bet this thing can be cleaned.

You can and it does. Just clean the ball in warm soapy water and use a Q-tip soaked in alcohol to clean the metal parts inside.

ROTFL! Makes me wonder. Now wouldn't that be a fun photo? Maybe I should check to see if there are excessive hits on animal threads.

I'm back. I won 9 ribbons at the fair - but only two were first place.
:(
CG, I don't know the name of that rose. It is a tiny mini rose. It looks bigger in the photos because I used a macro lens.

Right on Val. You won first twice. Different categories right! I love Fairs. We have one here called the Armstrong Fair - it is about 60 miles away. But it is tremendous. People come all the way from Alberta each year to attend it.
