Various News Sources and FReepers | September 21, 2002 | All of Us

Posted on 09/21/2002 1:32:30 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail [President Bush]

Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Chancellor Schroder apologized to the US for the Hitler comparison. No word as to whether the German minister who made the remarks lost her job.

Tornadoes raked across Indiana yesterday afternoon as part of a severe weather front moving eastward.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

A few years ago I actually watched a chickadee land on my boot.

LOL. Me too (mockingbird). The funniest start I got was when I fell asleep in the stand (tied in) and woke up with a squirrel between my legs. Don't know which one of us was scared more.

Mozie is pulling for the Panthers this weekend because we're playing the hated Viqueens ...... and we need all the help we can get. You're welcome to become an honorary Panther fan, too ....... :-)

I did manage to get a very nice suit and a bomber jacket custom made for me while I was over there. The prices were very reasonable, and since I'm sorta small, and skinny, it was nice to have things custom made that really fit. They even left a little extra space under the left side of the jackets for room for the carry weapon.

Hope everyone is accounted for that lives in areas of the storms last night.

The front is supposed to come through late today or tomorrow. It is not storm season here, so it probably will not be too bad.

What IS kimchee????

Generally, pickled cabbage fermented with cayenne peppers and other assorted spices. Kimchee can actually involve other vegetables as well, again pickled with lots of cayenne.

It's quite good if done well and hasn't sat in the refrigerator too long, otherwise it is something NASA is investigating as an alternative rocket fuel.

Good morning, everyone!

Quickly checking in. Things are somewhat involved at work right now (hint: 9 new workstations and a new server) as well as at home (hint: installing new kitchen).

puppyshy has a new sister - a mini-doxie - and I believe we have finally learned our lesson about letting the grandkidlets name our dogs, LOL!

Prayers for all who need them, and especially for those who think they don't! Enjoy your weekend.

Kimchee...

Can't say as I ever had the pleasure, but boy howdy... as I travel to Green Bay, on occasion, I get to pass some cabbage fields along HWY 54. Sometimes I think the cabbage have been in the sun too long.

Here's a rich one. Daughter # 1 just saw the impeached one on a public add speaking out against domestic violence, in the middle of cartoon hour.

One wonders if Juanita Broderick has seen it.

Amazing!

Good morning, Chairman, and ALL you wonderful people.

What a terrific slam dunk your daughter did to her liberal teacher. I imagine the teacher is still scratching her head...wondering ..what happened?

MM..praying for you and your neighbors. Take care.

Good morning! I'm here. Just had to get things set-up for the folks at work. AND, I got caught up in a conversation about CONSERVATISM or the lack of it tin the classroom at the university level with the mother of a student at William and Mary. Of course, I suggested Free Republic for a reading assignment! Hehe, we may have another freeper in line!

In Loving Memory

Now, the time has come to say goodbye to a trusted and loving friend.

How faithfully did you serve us in our hour of need.

Rest easy, old friend, sitting at the curb, with your doors removed for safety.

While other beer fridges may come and go, you, dear fridge, served well.

Sniff. I hate losing my beer fridge.

Mr HOB and I finally decided what we would do for vacation in Oct.

Yep, It's the Shenandoah Valley for us. We're taking the Panda Bear with us. This will be her first long drive since coming home from the breeder's. It was hard to decide since I was torn with making a decision to go away. We need to do some house fixing upper projects too.

She's probably thinking - "the system failed me - I thought we had dumbed down all of these kids so they wouldn't think and use logic."

Alas, poor Frigidaire, I knew him well...

I think you should have him cryogenically frozen until such time as technology allows such an old soldier to return to service...Or maybe he is a candidate for open-fridge, compressor-bypass surgery???

We tried. Nothing worked. There comes a time to let old comrades pass into the night, and that is what we've done. Sniff.

Now to find a paper and another $100 beer fridge...

Hi polly! I thought you had the mini before? Didn't you tell us the kids named it something strange but cute?
