The living waters looked into the face of God, and blushed.

Gives me goose bumps!! Thanks for sharing that. Fall is my favorite time of year. I can't wait for it to get
here. ( Virginia Beach)

Speaking of blush... I heard the best analogy about Jesus's miracle when he turned the water into wine at the wedding at Cana. Here it is...

The living waters looked into the face of God, and blushed.

That's pretty good. I'll have to remember that one. That miracle at the wedding party is very important to me. It was the first recorded miracle of Jesus (IIRC), and there our Savior was, helping liven up a party.

When the stodgy old f@rts get to harumphing about the seriousness of Christianity (and it is serious), I like to remind them that Jesus was one that liked to help make a party a good one by providing, not just wine, but new wine. LOL!

Thanks for posting the schedule.

Yesterday one of my Japanese students said he wants to go to a Titans game and found tickets for the Cleveland game for $45. But the cheapest he could find for the Redskins game, the next home game, was $100 and he wanted to know why. How do you explain Steve Spurrier to a Japanese guy who's probably never seen a football game?

By the way, I've got a ticket to the Redskins game!

Good morning. Yes, fall in Virginia is wonderful. When I lived in Richmond we would go in October to the Blue Ridge to see the leaves. Then I would get ready for deer season.

Even though I live in paradise, I still miss VA during this time of year.

Heck, I don't know. Good question. Hey, you're the teacher. ;^)

Ahhh yeah!

The most amusing thing that happened while at Lackland was getting a letter from a buddy of mine going through basic at Camp Pendleton. His letter smelled of perfume... don't ask me how... but our DI remarked, what kinda queers are them Marines turning out? Our Flight roared. Thankfully there were no Marines around at that moment. (Course we knew that.)

Then I would get ready for deer season.

I'll miss that this year, but the neighbor is at the deer lease this weekend putting out a feeder, and building his blind. Some (good) things remain the same, year after year. sigh.

We are battling Chronic Wasting Disease here in Wisconsin with our Whitetail population.

Some hunters say they won't hunt this year because of it.

Leaves more for the rest of us!

One of the benefits I had while in Korea was a very reasonable calling card. It gave me about 200 minutes back to the states for $20(US). I still have some minutes left, and can call my sister in New Zealand from here in the states, now that I've figured out the access number. Not quite as good a rate as from overseas to the states, but better than my calling plan at home. I could learn to like this world-wide travel thing.

Mike, It looks like several of us had sleep troubles last night....Baaaad shape this mornin'..........

Jane's neighborhood suffered extensive damage yesterday afternoon with that twister, as did the whole Indy area.

But she's all right...no power tho...

She appreciates all our concern for her safety yesterday.

Guenevere isn't back yet, and DJ is still missing:-(

ohio and W. , we had lots of rain - GOOD - but no really heavy winds - VERY GOOD - last night. Not even any thunder and lightening that I heard.

John - Welcome, welcome home! Glad to hear that you found the S. Koreans so warm and friendly. You described our experience almost 30 years ago there to a "t"!

Did you like the kimchee? Did you have some with saki??:-) Have you figured out what time zone you're in??!!

Good morning to all.
Anyone happen to see that prick Gephardt's remarks about Bush and Iraq yesterday? (Maybe I should put a BARF ALERT before this link).

Hello! Interesting, as I thought Gephardt had been either quiet, or fairly supportive. Thanks.
