I caught a Kuwaitii (ee) (?) ... a film maker from Kuwait who lived through saddam's invasion and destruction of his country and who considers NYC his second home on the tellie with John Gibson.
He filmed for seven straight days post 9.11 featuring five different folks with different religions, countries of origin, race, etc - but all with the dream of coming to America to better themselves and to live the American dream. It played last evening at the Smithsonian film room - Dreams without Sleep is the title, I think.
This guy was adamant that the hijackers, saddam, and his ilk were not true mooselimbs - but fanatics who only claimed to be muslim. He was not asked about the lying deal that you mentioned, but he seemed to be a right person from this interview.

Please explain Chelsea's handbag to me. I know that the shirt can't be justified.Really, it escapes me.

One area of concern...A second type of concern...Are you sure Tommy Daschel didn't write that letter? He's always so concerned about something or other.

I'm so sorry about your mother! What terrible news for you!

Will he still be Chelsea's favorite shoe designer? He sure was/is my daughter's favorite! Not sure of the status of his company now though.

One website I was looking at in fact says that the only moslems who tell the truth about their religion are the most radical ones, because they will tell you they want you dead. The others, the moderates, are practicing what is considered a good work in their "religion"--lying to the infidel.

Steve Madden makes just about the ugliest shoes on the planet. No kidding! But the 20-somethings sure do love them!

Has anyone ever heard an interviewer ask a muslim representative about the whole lying to infidels thing being sanctioned by Allah? I'm sure they would lie about it - obviously - but it might give Americans who only hear about tolerance and Islam being a religion of peace smoething to think about.I'm actually pretty upset with our media lately because they have not been revealing this to the unsuspecting public, and all the while are having all these moslem guests on the news programs.
I've been thinking about sending off emails to some of the more reasonable tv people, to alert them to this. It's really unfair to keep up this bombardment of moslems on the US public, who haven't a clue about al-taqiyah.

For you, about the taco guys!
link to interesting website discussing al-taqiyah
A little bit from it:

"It should be noted that I have read on some Muslim sites that a few more fundamental Muslim sites do not commit dissimulation, are open about the warrior mentality of Islam, and are proud that they do not dissemble or lie. But my understanding is that this is only the most "radical" or orthodox Muslims. It seems that the vast majority of Muslims are actually proud that they do dissemble or lie. The problem is, how can you tell which ones are not lying to you if you don't know the Koran and Islam? Basically, you can't believe the few because of the many. It is my opinion that the only Muslims a non-Muslim can believe about anything are the fundamentalist Muslims who openly admit that Islam is a warrior religion and that they are required to destroy all non-Muslims. Even then, we need to be careful."
"In summary, Al-taqiyya and dissimulation mean that no non-Muslim can believe anything told to them by any Muslim especially if it has to do with the Koran's perpetual Jihad against all non-Muslims. For that Muslim to lie to you is for that Muslim to do a good work towards earning salvation."

What's worse is the younger preteen set is sporting copies of these same ugly designs. I'm seeing these being worn by elementary school girls that don't quite have the balance thing down yet. My girls already know I will not purchase those monstrocities, so they don't even ask.

Thanks so much for the link - it may be too late in the day for this sort of reading. The ending of a day needs to be positive and upbeat, not working up a good hate for our enemies.
Perhaps President Bush is saying all the nicey-nice crap he says about islam being OK in order to confound them - much as he is confounding the UN, the dim/lib/losers, and the rest of his enemies.
Who knows? I am ready for all this bs to cease. Let's Roll.

But you're right, it's late in the day for rage, today at least, so save the link for when you want to get all worked up about the issue!

If God were small enough for our minds,
He would not be big enough for our needs.
As you can see, I clicked the link, and more. Thanks again. What a great sentence that is.
