I caught a Kuwaitii (ee) (?) ... a film maker from Kuwait who lived through saddam's invasion and destruction of his country and who considers NYC his second home on the tellie with John Gibson.
He filmed for seven straight days post 9.11 featuring five different folks with different religions, countries of origin, race, etc - but all with the dream of coming to America to better themselves and to live the American dream. It played last evening at the Smithsonian film room - Dreams without Sleep is the title, I think.
This guy was adamant that the hijackers, saddam, and his ilk were not true mooselimbs - but fanatics who only claimed to be muslim. He was not asked about the lying deal that you mentioned, but he seemed to be a right person from this interview.

One website I was looking at in fact says that the only moslems who tell the truth about their religion are the most radical ones, because they will tell you they want you dead. The others, the moderates, are practicing what is considered a good work in their "religion"--lying to the infidel.
