We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Reaction in Congress to the President's draft resolution was wholly along partisan lines. Republicans hailed the resolution and said it should be adopted. Demonflops, notwithstanding the language was based largely on a former resolution sponsored by IML Daschle, said changes needed to be made. Such changes would include, if the illegitimate chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senator Levin, had his way, requiring the President to get UN authorization for an attack before starting combat.
US intelligence agenices are trying to track down a missing Sudanese Air Force pilot who, it is said, is planning to hijack an aircraft and fly it into the White House.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed below 8,000 yesterday.
And the White House is furious over a German official's remark comparing President Bush to former German leader Adolf Hitler.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good post, Tator. Thanks for the ping, OWF.
Yup - looks like W. knows who is with us and who is against. But he's a patient man - willing to bide his time in making a point of the matter, until it serves his purposes.
And if the rumour I heard elsewhere that he might take N. Korea off the "Axis of Evil" list has merit, he is willing to reconsider, if it's earned or serves his purposes.
This leads to an America that is active on the world stage, acting in its own interests, comfortable in the knowledge that a strong, free and fair America is of benefit to all.
We haven't seen the likes of this often in history. Cool. It takes a good man to lead this, and I think we've got one.

Thanks. I'm glad to be back. I did get invited to stay longer by the unit commander, and I may go back for a 90 day tour. They like me there, and I liked them. The work was hard, but it was rewarding.
I also really liked Korea. The people are very nice, and very industrious, and very thrifty.

Thanks Kay. I'm very happy to be home. Trill is happy to have me home. It took a Korean street preacher that spoke a little english to get us from Osan to Inchon today(yesterday?). This weekend is Korean holiday, and buses were more of a challange today(yesterday). Thank goodness for street preachers.

I just read my work email, the company I work for has decided not to shut down for the July 4th holiday. I am celebrating here, most of us hated having the company decide 2 weeks of our vacations for us every year. I don't mind the Christmas break, because I would take it anyway, but this now frees up a week of vacation for me. I am one happy camper in Utah this evening!!!

YOU'RE BACK!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!
I really, really, really missed you!
You must be exhausted.
Is Trill spoiling you rotten??? :^)
To: JRandomFreeper
So what's next after you save the world tomorrow night? .... (and, boy, does it ever need saving! but President Bush has done quite a bit towards that himself in the last couple of weeks!).

I'm doing okay. It's been so terribly warm & muggy (still!) that my asthma was giving me a few problems last night and this morning. Nothing serious, just annoying.
But they're promising that it won't get out of the 60's for the next week and it's supposed to dry up, humidity-wise. That would be wonderful.

Trill has been wonderful. I did drink a beer or two across the alley, and now, she's letting me freep. I'm also doing maintenance on the servers.
As far as being exhausted, I'll be tired when it's time for bed. I'm going to stay up like I normally would on a Friday(Saturday?) night and get up with the sun in the morning. I didn't have jet lag going over, and I'm trying to avoid it on the way back. grin!

Btw, I'm assuming you're going to be pulling for the Panthers to go to 3-0 this weekend. They're playing the team you love to hate ........ :-)

I've never been far enough away from home to get jet lag but I understand it's a mess. We had some friends who went to Hawaii for a week. They said when they got home it took several days to get back on "normal" time for eating, sleeping, etc.
It seems to be worse on coming back than on going. I hope you avoid it.

I thought the universe felt a bit safer.........

They're playing the Viqueens???????
Oh, please, let them go 3-0.......
To: MozartLover
Yep! Right on the first guess! I just
knew we'd pick up an extra Panthers fan for this weekend ...... :-)
Btw, Detroit looked like a middle school team when we played them last weekend. Y'all will either eat them alive ...... or they will be tough to try to redeem themselves. I suspect they're not capable of too much redemption.

My girlchild is in France now, and they are 7 hours ahead of us. She's been pretty good about picking out the correct time to call.:)
She had never flown before but had no problems at all. She even made her train connection to Avignon just fine; and things seem to be going well for her.:)

There is another thread on FR for this report, at:
White House Releases National Security Strategy.
There is a web page on the adobe site (search on google for "pdf text convert" to find it) that converts pdf to text. However the conversion is really ugly. After fussing with it for longer than I will admit here in public, I gave up. If anyone finds it useful, it's at: nss.html.

Johnny, I'll fill you in on the Packers tomorrow, after you've had some rest.:)

G'night, Mozie! Hope you sleep well!
I think I'm going to call it a night, too.
God bless each of you!

Good night! Sorry I missed you. I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your surf/ironing board story. What's this about a major crisis at work? Hope things have been smoothed over by now and are back to normal. Sweet dreams!
