Thanks Mo. That is amazing. Amazing it's not all over the news! Why don't the fines = the amount of money recieved?
The VRWC has been vindicated.... but who will notice?
To: Mo1
I don't know if I would put alot of the blame on Powell Powell made the call to cease hostilities. Another day or two and Saddam would have been toast. Clinton is responsible for 1993 on.

Well it was in the NYT .. I'm thinking someone will talk about itI will be watching the Sunday morning shows, but I'm not holding my breath. O'Rielly and Hannity will rant for one night and that will be it.

Well .. I do see your point and it would be nice if they did .. but AT THAT time the intent was not to kill Saddem it was to free Kuwait (sp?) which we did. IMO I think they thought Saddem was weakened and there was a good chance he would fall
Unfortunately Clinton became President and well pretty much ingored Iraq. and now we are facing an even more dangerous madman and that is why I put more of the blame on Clinton

IMO I think they thought Saddem was weakened and there was a good chance he would fallThat is exactly what they thought, but we had commited over 500,000 troops to the battle. H.W. should have taken the chance of breaking the coalition (which never would have happened) and taken out the government (Saddam). I took part in Desert Storm, but voted for Ross Perot just because of that lack of leadership.

That is good news. Russia is just playing hardball to get a good deal for thier vote in the security council. Now what are we going to have to give the chinese?

Good night Mo. Thanks for keeping me company. Can't let the work/sleep cycle get back out of whack.

Because whether we like it or not .. at the time the United States is not in the business of assassinating a President of another Country .. That would make us no better then saddem and this Country is better then that
And whether we like it or not he is their President
it is not just that easy and yes AT THE TIME he was weakend and with the proper amount of pressure I can see how they thought Saddam could be toppled
Unfortunately that didn't happen for many many reasons and now he will be dealt with

When he first returned from his world trip, he did not think that he was eligible for unemployment, as it had been a year since he had worked....so he went in to the unemployment office, because someone told him he was still eligible and he filled out all the papers, and sure enough, so long as he was looking for work, his previous time having been employed, entitled him to unemployment compensation.....
So he commenced to looking for a regular, steady job and there were not many available in the Seattle area....so he kept looking and kept collecting his unemployment....then when he got a contract job, he would inform unemployment that he was employed and his unemployment compensation stopped....
When the contract job was complete and he was paid, he then reported this to the unemployment bureau...and after a particular waiting time frame, if he had not found another job, he was again deemed eligible for unemployment....
So he has been diligent about always keeping unemployment office informed as to whether or not he is gainfully employed or not....when he has a contract job, which lasts only a set amt of time, and when that job ends, he is again considered unemployed...so long as he is unemployed, and is looking for work, and has not reached the dollar maximum set forth by unemployment, he is still considered eligible for unemployment benefits....
