I remember a year after Katie's husband died People magazine ran a cover story about the brave young widow and how she copes. I wanted to puke. Try the young widows with kids and NO NANNIES and no multi-million dollar careers and no houses and no insurance and no celebrity parties..... Nobody is BRAVE, we just do whatever we have to do and hope it's enough. But when it comes to young widows, Katie Couric's situation is NOT representative of reality.

That multi-million dollar "journalist" hasn't figured out yet that her job isn't to "play devil's advocate" - It's to uncover and report the TRUTH.

Couric agreed: Thats true. I think really that it is sort of a, is it the Rorschach test? I always pronounce that incorrectly. You know I think that people really see what they want to do from what they want to see from their particular frame of mind or the prism from which theyre watching the program or the interview. And I think actually, thats an excellent point Matt. Can this woman voice a coherent thought without a teleprompter?

Working late tonight CO?

How right you are - Katie couric's life is not reality. I stopped watching that witch over a year ago. I cannot stomach her "tainted tough journalistic twisting".

I got this in my email today. This scared the **** out me!
"This one was wild and a little spooky once you find the ghost in the picture. It took me a few seconds to find it, but when you do it just stands out. Like one of those optical illusions. To save you some time, concentrate around the table . Best not to focus too much on one spot. Look around the table and toward the window."

I think, you know, that she really tries to make a point, and she might someday, but you know it won't be soon because she hasn't really like even ever found a point yet, even though she thinks that maybe Matt had one once, she was wrong; but really, you know, who are we to judge what is wrong if it's excellent?
To: Canadian Outrage
btw I have developed an allergy to this desk today. Can't stop sneezing and coughing. Home computer arrives tomorrow. Probably hooked up Monday. Yipee. Night all. Too bad you weren't brave enough to show up Prentice!! *l*

...the prism from which theyre watching the program... I wouldn't watch her program from prison, let alone from a prism.... whatever that means.

Your the Imprismer, Mistress Val... thats your job.

Greetings from Washington, Val...I have been lurking, and am just amazed at your pics...you really do seem to have an amazing eye for great pics, and a real talent for photography....
The weather here in western Washington has been wonderful...clear blue skies, warmish temps, the mountains in full view, ,and leaves turning colors...this is supposed to continue clear into next week....its probably the best weather possible, for this time of year around here...if it really does continue through next weekend, the hubby and I just might go camping up at Mt. Rainier for the weekend, or at least get up there for the day....it will be just gorgeous up there...
I dont suppose you got to see Lou Pinella throwing a fit at the Mariners game the other night...there was a bad call in the 9th inning, at first base, and Pinella came tearing out of the dugout, and was flailing his arms, and I am sure shouting obscenities at the umpire, and of course he was immediately ejected....but he was not about to leave, and he was furious...his face was red, he was shaking, and you could see the veins popping of our his head....some other guys from the dugout, tried to restrain him, but that did nto work...he ripped his hat off, threw it all over...still not satisfied, he actually ripped 1st base out of the ground and threw it...chased it down, and threw it again....finally somewhat satisfied he left the field...
I guess, it was a season of pent up frustration, as the Mariners just are not doing so well this season....
Well, the Mariners did go on to win that game, in extra innings, and the fans sure got a good show out of Pinella acting up....
My husband went to an exhibition game at the new Seahawks Stadium, and said, its just like Safeco Field, just as nice...
Seattle looks so differently now, from when we first moved here...first there was the monstrosity, the KingDome, and now we have SafeCo field, and Seahawks Stadium, standing in the same place...
Seattle, I notice was also graced with the terrible distinction of having one of the highest unemployment rates in the country....7.6 percent or some near number....I guess the decline of the tech companies, added to layoffs at Boeing, are making for unhappy times...
Bill and Melinda Gates had a third child, a baby girl...I think her name is Phoebe, tho I may be mistaken...
Well, I am sure you get the news about Washington from you family, and on the internet, but thought I would give you just a slice of life, up here in the Pacific Northwest...
