and I now realize that you are not necessarily counting Ricci out. You don't know that! I counted Ricci out from the beginning. Time line. Yes, he is a scum.....TIME LINE.

DID THE PERSON TELL HER THAT THE PARENTS SAID IT WAS OK? That's certainly a common ruse of people who abduct children.
I am positive that, in the interviews discussing Mary Katherine, either Ed or Lois has said that there was something besides just the sound of the voice--something in the context of what the person said--that tended to reveal his identity. The police have also very pointedly said that they are not revealing all the words that were said that night.
To: scaredkat
Ed was told by High Church Officials to work with the police no matter what skeltons they would find. I have heard this time and time again. I finally got the confromation from an FBI agent. I highly doubt this is true since "High Church Officials" would expect all Church members to "honor, obey and sustain the law" without having to be "told". Let's assume that it was true, hypothetically, this sure flies in the face of all of the Mormon bashers on these threads who are firmly convinced that the Church is behind a massive cover-up.

"The police have also very pointedly said that they are not revealing all the words that were said that night."
I have to wonder why this is such a big secret.....yet another gaping hole in what we have been told about the "tremendous amount of information" that MK has reportedly provided to the police.

if there was no gun in her back, how would one explain Elizabeth silently leaving with this man? Ahhhhhh, maybe she knew the guy?
Well, yes.
To: Devil_Anse
From what the family has said about Elizabeth..a shy girl, very emerged in her talents, Ward, ...and being 14, there would be no way she would quietly leave with a worker.
What would be the reason to do so? Makes no sense. This girl LEFT QUIETLY..WALKED OUT...and her sister, was quiet.
The question is....what did Ed Smart tell the PD.
The key is MK...nothing more.

Yes, I think that finding Elizabeth is a must, in the minds of law enforcement, b/f proceeding further to prosecute anyone in this case. I certainly hope that Ricci didn't go to his grave knowing what happened to Elizabeth. If he knew anything, I doubt he'd have told Angela enough for it to be of help to anyone in finding her. In fact, for all the previous talk of waiving his attorney-client privilege so his lawyer could tell any info HE knew, I doubt Ricci (if involved) told his lawyer where Elizabeth now is. Often a defendant will steadfastly insist to his own lawyer that he is innocent. He will get his story straight and stick to it, even when he and his lawyer are alone. The lawyer, like the prosecutors, just has to make the best case out of what he has.

You say the key is MK? What'd I tell you--EYEWITNESS TESTIMONY.
To: Neenah
What voice, and person would that leave to be familiar with, so that if arroused in the night by this person, and talked to..she would quietly get up..get her shoes and leave? What voice and person would be familiar with MK, so that she would not scream and wait 2-3 hours before saying anything to her parents? DID THE PERSON TELL HER THAT THE PARENTS SAID IT WAS OK ? (remember she is 9 )...
Maybe someone trusted in the community? Maybe a bishop whom the girls thought should be beyond reproach? Maybe a distant family member? Maybe just someone who had agree to help Liz escape an intolerable situation?

Why the police will not reveal all that was said:
Could be (avoiding use of the word "maybe") that it's just a bluff.
Maybe (not avoiding use of the word "maybe") they are holding back something so if anyone confesses, they can tell whether or not the person really was there, or is just one of those nuts who confess to crimes they didn't commit.
To: Devil_Anse
and I now realize that you are not necessarily counting Ricci out. I don't know if this is the one or not..but the media really only talked to one neighbor as I recall. They talked to the Ex=Mayor and Senator and wife , who took MK and the children to their home, but I can only recall one neighbor and I am sure it was this Sue Ann.
She is pretty, maybe 40-something. short hair, nicely cut, dark brown hair...pleasant personality, fierce loyalty to the family. Love's the family and the children. Was one of the first over there.
I remember the media interviewing her, both on network and cable nets. That was in the beginning. From then, she was not talked to.
I am trying to find something, but that was almost 4 months ago, and I can't remember what network did the interviews with her.

Where is that person now? I think that person is back doing whatever they did b/f Elizabeth disappeared (or he is dead), because he killed her and hid her body.
I would hope that the police would check out your ex-bishop as to his alibi on the night in question. If you think they have missed this, you really ought to anonymously e-mail them with this suggestion.
To: freedox
Yeah! Never heard anything like this. And the fact it was in the middle of the night! Bizaar.

From my amateur anthropological studies of contemporary Mormons, I gather that a huge proportion of Mormon wives/mothers (at least in Utah) are, or have at one time been "music teachers" -- mostly just giving private lessons in their homes to make some extra money -- so I wouldn't read too much into this.
To: Devil_Anse
That's certainly a common ruse of people who abduct children.Yes they do, I agree. But I agree it will work on a 4-5 yr. old..but Samantha Runyun was 5 and she knew what to do..kick and scream..she did all that.
I believe that Elizaabeth, with her upbringing both in LDS and in the family was not one who would believe a worker in the middle of the night for crying out loud..and go quietly with him!
sorry, can't agree here.

If you think they have missed this, you really ought to anonymously e-mail them with this suggestion.(Dryly) I'm sure LE and FBI have checked out his alibi for that night. He became a father on June 3, so could have been home alone on June 5.

There is no evidence to support your "divorce" rumor in any credible published source.Of course it's not "published," you simple thing.
And of course you consider it your "duty" to continue to propagate outrageous lies about the Smart family. You're disgusting. Have you no ethical or moral framework?
