Just thought I would start a new thread.
That's not always true scaredkat. With the case I know of the oldest daughter left the other two daughters behind. For some reason she didn't think anyone else would be abused. Sometimes the abuser tells the abused that they are "special" and the older daughter wouldn't think the younger ones will be abused. We are talking about children here and depending on how the abuser approaches the child with "love" or with "violence" makes a big difference in how the child reacts.
Some of it, I have been saying all along and some of it was brand new to me.
I especially liked the way you analyzed the "cut screen". Thanks. I hadn't thought that part through that much.
Sacredkat's post on the screen:
The story about the screen being cut got bigger and bigger. Read all the news clippings first it was just cut. Then it was cut in the inside, then it was cut and a chair was outside next to the window. Then it was cut from the inside but there was a chair outside next to the window and the window was also broken.
So if this is true I would question why was it cut on the inside if everything was outside?
I thought the thing same as you. I wondered if he went into the hospital to get drugs to pass the lie detector test. This is a known flaw in lie detector tests. If you can keep yourself calm with drugs, you can pass them.
Tom Smart's test, however, was suppose to be inconclusive.
Of course it's not "published," you simple thing.
I did not assert that you and sherlock are one and the same -- that's your assumption. It's very possible both you and sherlock have other identities -- along with a couple other posters.
I thought exactly the same thing at the time. Still do.
Why would it be so odd for it to be published? (Okay, I know, I know--you didn't SAY it would be odd for it to be published!) Some local newspapers do publish divorce filings. If you take the word "published" in its most general meaning, or at least its legal meaning, it means, spoken or written by one person to another.
Court records are there for anyone to see, if they involve adults. It would have been child's play for a reporter to look up a divorce filing by Lois, or by Ed. Why hasn't any news reporter reported it?
A rumor of a possible divorce in the works has been stated by some internet poster, on some forum. Such a statement is a form of publication. Maybe it was Bella, here on freerepublic, with her supposed "inside sources." I don't recall who it was. But any internet poster on any forum is not a credible source.
I have come to the conclusion that you are not someone's alter-ego-poster, since your style is inimitable. You say maybe Sherlock and JG are someone's alter-egos. Don't forget, many of the posters whom you like might be someone's posting alter-ego, too.
And here comes Scaredkat with a list of things for us to consider, and as usual, Bella posts about one line, something to the effect of "exactly right!" I have serious doubts about Bella's existence as a totally separate entity from some other better-known poster. (I don't mean you.)
That's why I somewhat like you, Devil, you're pretty smart. I have neither the time nor energy not motivation to have a dual identity.
Actually, posts by JG are always exactly the same, mean-mouthed. If he is also posting under another name, he has to do some fancy prose parsing to sound like someone else -- but he is capable of that, I think.
Yes, I've often considered a dual identity for some of the more innocuous posters. It's possible.
The ONLY thing in that article (Deseret News, 09/07) that refutes the original police reports is a single statement by a single neighbor, Suann Adams. What the police are accepting responsibility for is the 3 HOUR delay in securing the house AFTER their arrival.....nowhere is there an official retraction of the original police reports that neighbors were already in and around the house when they arrived. In fact, the last paragraph of the article reads as follows:
"In this case I'm not criticizing them (the police)," (Deputy District Attorney) Morgan said. "We had neighbors running around trying to find Elizabeth. It was the ward function of the year where everyone was trying to help. By the time the police got there, they had to undo the chaos before they could begin reasonable forensic procedures."
Does this sound to you like there were no neighbors present when the police arrived? What constituted the "chaos" that police found upon their arrival? Can you find any statement in this article that amounts to an official retraction of the original police reports? All I can find is the statement of one neighbor......Suann Adams.
If you read the whole article it states that police arrived on the scene whithin 12 minutes of the first call and that no neighbors were present. The statment by the deputy DA is second hand and refers to the point in time when detectives arrived which was 3 hours later. Why do you think Suann Adams would not tell the truth?
Can you copy and paste that statement from the article for me? Don't bother if it's the statement from Suann Adams......I don't consider that to be an "official statement." What I am interested in seeing is an official statement from LE, retracting their initial reports.
As for Suann Adams......I don't know her. I don't know if she would lie or not.
You are right in saying that statements made by anyone should be sourced, especially when they are stating something that is suppose to be fact, but not brought out in print or by conference.
Second hand from whom? The article I'm reading shows it as a direct quote. Where does it say that he is referring to the detectives who arrived 3 hours later? In the quote I provided, he simply refers to "the police." If you have a different source than the Deseret News article on 09/07/02, please post a link......I'd like to read it.
Very well spoken, freedox!
