The National Enquirer tabloid newspaper is expected to publish a story today about the contents of the computer, said Det. Dwayne Baird.

I was rereading old newspaper issues and came across this. Check it out. I find a few odd things about this article, one is the above statement.

I just heard a rumor that is going on around here. (recieved info by phone.) That lois and ed have gone on a vacation leaving their kids with family members and have gone on a cruise. Ed was quoted saying he wishes this would all go away. Maybe this is why there are no family news conferences, so noone will ask where are the parents.

???????he wishes it would go away??????? I would think he would have other kind of wishes. Like finding his daughter. I dont know, Ed sure says the stranges things.

It is a shame the bible in the old testament mentions so many polygamists that God worked with. There have been sacred places where some people were not allowed to enter, and also only certain men could offer sacrifice that God would accept.

And by the way I do worship the Jesus of the new testament. I owe him everything. I read of him daily and try to act like him, though I fall woefully short of his example. I know that his name is the only one given whereby we can receive salvation. He is the one who can forgive my sins.

Ralph Lauren sports shoes are made/marketed by Reebok -- quite likely with identical treads and other features, and just some cosmetic differences. A Senior Vice President of Reebok is the President & Chief Executive of Ralph Lauren Footwear Co. (presumably a subsidiary of Reebok).

The polygamists of the Old Testament paid for their polygamy. Abraham had Ishmael by his slave wife at Sarah's request and look what trouble that caused in his family and in the Middle East today with the offspring of Ishmael still fighting against the offspring of Isaac. Jacob had two wives because he got tricked by his father in law and had to marry both and endured a lifetime of bickering and competition between the wives, even using their servants to sire him children in their competition with one another. Regardless, the New Testament clearly states that church leaders are to be men with one wife.

All the men were the Lords', but they were all redeemed by silver except the Levites who were God's representatives to the people. It was by birthright, not by whether they paid their tithes and did not smoke, did not chew, and did not date girls that do. This was all clearly prescribed and delineated in scripture, just as it is delineated that there is no temple in the church age, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit as living stones. Only the priests were allowed to enter the holy place, and only the High Priest was allowed once a year in the holy of holies. This is because he was a type of Jesus Christ. They did not have weddings that excluded family members. This, like the people killing their children sacrificing to Molech, would fall in the same category where God said he did not make commandment against it because it would never have entered his mind they would do anything like this. If you're trying to follow the law, remember if you offend in one point you have offended in all.

The Jesus of the New Testament is an eternal member of the Godhead which LDS denies. The Jesus of the New Testament would not have you in your own little group not affiliating with and working together with other Christian groups worldwide. This exclusiveness, secrecy, and men trying to draw men after themselves is a real bad sign.

Where do you read 'of him', in the Word of God or in some LDS literature written by men?

Last week at the press conference, whoever conducted it said that Ed and Lois AND their five children were on a private vacation together, and that is why they weren't there.

Aha! I was wondering if this seeming change from Ralph Lauren to Reebok was really just a case of our forgetting how much collaboration and overlap there is btw brand names, etc.

I don't get this stuff about the vacation. Right around Labor Day, I heard the family was on vacation. That didn't seem a strange time to take a trip, since a lot of people like to finish out their summer that way. But Labor Day has come and gone, are they still not back??

It would indeed be hard to care about a trip, with a crisis like a missing family member ruining every day. We just had some work done on the house, and even that was such a pain that it made me forget about taking one last trip to finish out the summer (which I'd been considering.) Needless to say, their crisis is of a magnitude that I can't even imagine.

Maybe what they actually did was finally move out of that house, as they'd planned. If the school-age kids were doing homeschooling at this point, I'd certainly understand that. Maybe they've actually moved, and just aren't ready to tell the public yet.

Because if they really went on a cruise, I'd have to agree with Jengaio--even if one spouse knew something, what about the other one? How could she even pretend to put a happy face on for a cruise, in such conditions?

Also, I recall saying one time that in my opinion, the fact that they were able to take trips indicated that they probably aren't on the ropes financially. But a lot of people disagreed, saying they really hadn't taken but one trip this summer.
