A Beech Grove driver was being held in the Marion County Lockup and his passenger hospitalized after his arm was severed in an early morning accident that could lead to criminal charges.

Richard Everhart, 21, of Beech Grove, and Kevin Small, 32, had been patronizing a nightclub on Southeastern Avenue and agreed to give a dancer a ride home, said Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Robert Chappell.

The deputies found Small's hand, which was packed in ice and taken to the hospital.

Everhart flagged down the driver of a passing pickup, who gave all three a ride to Community Hospital South. The pickup driver then drove the dancer home.
I wonder if the pickup driver made it home in one piece (unlike Small, who lost a piece over trying to get a piece).
