Are you flying in to OAK or SFO?

My Dad lives in Sacramento, so will be there on Sat and Sunday and thought I would head toward Clear Lake on Sunday afternoon. Have no schedule, and will be in the area on Tuesday as well. I head back to Chile on Thursday from Sac....Might be able to drum up an excuse to head down to Burlingame...have a good buddy who is an attorney there and we are also doing business with a company there...I'm trying to formulate the ultimate boondogle.

"One of the big indoctrination things is always based around "respecting their culture." It didn't take me long to realize that most countries in the world are prisoners of their culture" Isn't it interesting how when they come here WE then have to respect their culture, but cannot demand that they respect ours?

boondogle = boondoggle (I think)

Sacramento is a good town -- I was born there. That's all it takes to make it acceptable. *L*
It's impossible to find your way around there, though.
This show is fascinating.

"My wedding went off without a hitch, it was the marriage part that was a disaster.." That is all too often the case.

WE can't have an American culture because it would hurt the feelings of other cultures that move in.

We can't even call America a melting pot anymore, now it is a "tossed salad"... excuse me while I toss some cookies.

Isn't it interesting how when they come here WE then have to respect their culture, but cannot demand that they respect ours?There is a fundamental premise in the world that WE, the USA, do not have a culture. I think it stems from the fact that we have moved beyond peeing in our drinking water, which to some is quaint and part of the third-world "culture." We are expected to respect this and appologize for the fact that we have figured out this really isn't the best idea, however quaint.
My basic premise is that most countries are prisoners of their "culture." I could go on for hours about the "culture" of Chile, and because of their culture, why they have gone just about as far as they are going to go.

Burlingame is only an hour away.
Two g's in boondoggle...

*LOL* The groom is posing for photos and stands too close to the fan instead of his bride and his toupee flies off and attacks her... when he turns 'round and bends over to fetch it, his pants split open. Of course it's all captured on video.

To: Cuttnhorse
My family moved to Washington state before I turned 3, so I missed out on the Sacramento school system.

"It was a good hair day." Mine wasn't! I kept my hair in curlers right up until I was finishing getting ready at the church and when I took it down, it was still wet! Of course I freaked. And it was too late to do much about it. I tried blow drying it a little, but there was NO curl at all. The pic is awful too...it's scanned from a photocopy.
