I wish they would have about half the topics and maybe go into a little more depth. That would help a lot. Also, I wish he would quit calling lawyers "counselor"... that makes them sound credible.

I've noticed that cheap Chilean wine is getting more expensive here lately. Darn!

Glad to have you as a goodwill ambassador for America.I'm not so sure about that. When I first came to South America in 1991, the company I was working for hired a consulting firm to "indoctrinate" us and explain all the touchy-feely stuff involved with working overseas. You know, the you shouldn't do's and the you must do's...it was a basic orientation course for gringos...Gringo 101.
Well, after a week, we had to take an exam that was supposed to assess how well we would handle an overseas assignment, and the sorry results reported back to management was "NONE of these boozos should be allowed out of the country."
I believed then and believe even more so now, that the USA is the best country on earth and if the rest of the sorry world would only adopt our system, they would be a LOT better off. This attitude seems to offend many. This attitude eliminates me from ambassador status.
To: Cuttnhorse
Ambassadors are not nearly as respectable as you.
To: ValerieUSA
You are, as always, a sweetie.
To: ValerieUSA
Perfectly said Valerie. Thanks.

The American system has proven itself time and time again. Fear of freedom and change cripples those who resent us.

Fear of freedom and change cripples those who resent us.That is so true.
One of the big indoctrination things is always based around "respecting their culture." It didn't take me long to realize that most countries in the world are prisoners of their culture, and as long as eveyone keeps tippy-toeing around, "respecting" various self-destructive cultures, these countries will never dig themselves out of the holes they find themselves in.
I love the music and food of Peru...that is a big part of their culture...I dispise the graft and corruption...also part of their culture. In Tanzania, they believe having sex with virgins is a cure for AIDS. This is unbelievable but is part of their "culture" that outsiders are susposed to respect. Stealing from "mazungas", (white folks) is also part of the culture in Africa...sorry if I don't buy into that one either.
