Tell me more about the additional remote...we have a JVC TV.Does it have to be made by the same outfit that makes the TV and just like the remote that came with it?

If you go to Walmart or Kmart they sell them .. you just program the codes for your type of TV and you are ready to aim and fire away

Thanks ok -- good to see you here, friend. :)
Your camera has got to be handy for e-bay. I don't know how anyone can be a serious seller there without one.

I normally hate creepy crawly jumping buzzing things, but when I see one through the camera lens, I just have to take its picture. Without my camera I would be running from or stomping on them. Except for butterflies....

OK .. wise one or anyone else that would like to chime in .. got another question

What do you know about Lipitor and it's side effects???

The reason I ask is because mom is on the stuff and even tough she is normally not wrapped to tight she seems to be getting even worse .. it seems that since the doctor put her on this and other meds her memmory has been going down hill fast .. to the point we sold her car because we didn't didn't think it was safe for her to be on the streets .. needless to say .. she is pissed at us .. but what else is new

I remember reading an article in the WSJ about other seniors having this same problem and once they stopped taking the drug things got better

Have you heard anything else about it

Cholesterol is an essential body chemical. If you don't eat enought of it your body will make it's own...

Yes, but her Cholesterol is really low and the doctor wants to get it below 100

It seems to me she doesn't really need this drug

Most of the side effects listed for the drug have to do with liver funciton.

The cholesteral chart I found is this:
Below 180 - your blood cholesterol level is ideal
180-199 - your blood cholesterol level is acceptable
200-219 - your blood cholesterol level is borderline high
220 or higher - your blood cholesterol level is too high

Get her off that stuff - you are correct to be worried. Get a new doc while you're at it. Good luck with it Mo.

Mo, I think she needs a new Doctor. Trying to get cholesterol below 100 is really into the crackpot range. I wouldn't let that doctor take my temperature till aI got a thoutrough explanation with references as to why he was following that course of treatment.

Thanks Lisa .. here is the Article that got me thinking

Cholesterol Drug Use Raises Questions About Side Effects

A couple of years ago she had a heart attack .. but it was NOT due to a Cholesterol problem of any sort .. she had a blood clot .. thankfully my sister's friend is a nurse and told us to get her to the hospital ASAP because the doctors said it could have been a massive heart attack ..

Anyhow .. she doesn't have high blood preasure either but he also has her on those meds also ..

At her last appointment the doc said her heart was is such good shape that you could hardly tell she had a heart attack

About the only big problem she has is her arthritis and her eyes seem to be really dry and she needs to put this goop in them

But her flaking out is really bothering me .. We scheduled an appoint to discuss this and at least put it on record .. My sisters seems to have the same concern as I have ..
