Sherlock said: Angela said that she read Richard failed his polygraph. I'm pretty sure I read that too.

Angela said on LK that her husband's polygraph has NEVER been revealed or released.

Danielle van Dam knew her neighbor-killer.
Samantha Runnion's killer had seen her when visiting his girlfriend.
The Hansen girl's father was friends with Javier whatshisname.

And Elizabeth Smart knew the mastermind of the kidnapping, Richard Ricci, ex-Smart handyman that bragged to his fellow ex-cons he might burglarize the Smart home and what 'easy pickin's' there were there.

If it's hot varina says it's cold. varina is consistant, she is going to argue against anything and everything that is obviously true.

You left out the other sophomoric behaviour - always having to have the last word.

I base this on Angela and other family members stating that the Jeep never had seat covers and Mouls contradictory statements that it did

You know, sandude and others of like mind, the term "seatcovers" could be a matter of interpretation.

That is, actual fitted seatcovers vs. "throws" that people sometimes use to protect seats, etc.

Getting hard-pressed to dig up viable dialogue, JG?

Don't you know I thought that was what you would say, totally ignoring that the man did not have the modus operandi?

Sherlock is so predictable you can read sherlock's responses with your eyes closed.

Lakey, it's also true that Elizabeth could well have known the bishop, given that he lives practically next door to her grandparents. Not to mention dozens of neighbors. The list is endless.

When I think of the reports that say it was "surreptitiously" taken, I still can't help but think of repossession.

You are making it too complicated. Say Angela called up during the day and found out the repairs had been made to the fuel pump, but Moul told her he needed to be paid. After all he had just laid out the cash for a fuel pump. After he closes, Ricci shows up with another set of keys and takes the jeep.

So Ricci is an angelic dumb-ass because he took a piece-of-crap car in lieu of payment for his labor? I doubt it. More likely, the car was worth approximately what he was owed.

Lots of people buy cars that are pieces of crap, because that is all they can afford.

I doubt very much that Ricci got conned in that deal. He had choices. He could have taken the car to his mechanic to get it checked out before he bought it. He could have taken his pay in cash and bought someone else's "piece of crap" with it, of not bought a vehicle at all.

I don't see Ricci as a victim, here.

At an afternoon news conference Monday, Trujillo described the driver he saw as a white male with dark hair, wide sideburns, wearing a cream-colored shirt or jacket and driving a white or silver sedan made in the late 1980s or early 1990s. He was not wearing a hat. Trujillo observed the "Grand Am type" car from the Shriners security office and saw a second car come into the lot and pull alongside the sedan, stopping for 20 seconds. The two cars then left the parking lot at high speeds, Trujillo said. One car went down 11th Avenue, while the sedan went north on Virginia Street toward Federal Heights. Trujillo called police AGAIN after the two cars left, and said he did not get a good look at the second car. "I'm not one to call the police on a whim," Trujillo said, but added that the two cars could be "merely coincidental." He said security personnel have witnessed drug deals in the parking lot.

Maybe it's simply a matter of good manners. Ricci introduced himself to Mr. Smart as "Richard Ricci", and never told Mr. Smart to call him "Rick".

The bishop - I vaguely recall something recent about a bishop abusing a girl but don't know his name.

As I said, there are too many other important things going on in the world now for me to devote my entire computer time to the Smarts. And it's kinda dull, anyway, considering these convoluted concoctions people keep trying to make fit - a square peg in a round hole.

Actually, when this type of crime is perpetrated by someone in the victim's immediate family, say the parents, it is the product of a custody battle.

When this type of crime is perpetrated by an acquaintance, it could be anyone with whom the victim has a passing familiarity.

When this type of crime isperpetrated by a stranger, the victim is chosen by chance and opportunity.

Former Bishop Spencer Dixon, defrocked by the LDS after he was charged with abusing a young girl in his ward. He has not been tried and/or convicted, but it must have been pretty bad for them to have canned him. He lived in the same neighborhood as LS's grandparents.

What does this have to do with sherlock, varina, I didn't post that. Is this some kind of a show for the administrator you contacted? What did you tell him, varina?
