You can find them in the task manager. CTRL-ALT-DEL once will pop it up in Windows NT/2K/XP (I haven't used 95/98/ME in so long I've forgotten if it works there). Just close anything that is Internet Explorer or Netscape.
Having grown up in eastern NC and spending most of my life there, I have to agree with you about about dull and boring it is to drive through. Much of the 4 1/2 hour drive we take to go see mother-in-law is so straight and so drab it's hard to stay awake. And after the 5 hurricanes that hit in 3 years there are even fewer trees to count ..... :-(
Funny story ..... on our trip to Wilmington, we drive for miles on a stretch of road that is so flat that the greatest elevation change is from the highway to the drainage ditch ..... except for the occasional overpass. As you cross over one of these overpasses, you look down upon a trailer park. At the entrance to the trailer park is a sign ..... claiming that the name of the place is ...... ta!da! ... Hidden Valley!
..... It cracks me up every time we pass by there ...... few places could be less hidden ...... and the term valley is absolutely ludicrous. At least the chuckle we get breaks the monotony of the trip ...... :-)

Busy day ahead ..... so I probably will only pop in occasionally.
God bless each of you!
And may God bless President Bush, our military, and our great nation!!!
Yes, Highway 95 from Emporia, VA to about halfway between Savannah and Brunswick, GA. Seems like there ought to be a way to push some button and have the vehicle pilot itself through that area.
Or maybe because of the location the valley is truly hidden and you haven't found it yet. ;)

I saw that Broward County is already messing things up.
Got some windows cleaned, and am moving into the spare bedroom, which looks like a toy explosion!
I am still wondering what was in that cooler.
Have the tissues handy ...... but NEVER FORGET!

I think I brought this subject up on another thread, and am not sure I did so here, but I want to heartily recommend that ANYONE who has a daughter (Chairman, this means YOU) have their daughters watch this movie, which is about the best thing Sally Fields ever did. It is about an American woman who married an Iranian doctor, and when they go to Iran on a visit he turns into a fundamentalist, refuses to go leave Iran, makes her live as an Islamic wife, will not let her leave if she takes their daughter with her, and holds her a prisoner, complete with beatings. It is the true story of how she finally escaped, with her daughter.
From time to time, as strange practices and weird stuff from the Islamic world becomes known, my daughter will look at me and say "Not Without My Daughter." I do not worry that my daughter would fall prey to a terrorist looking for a marriage of convenience.
