No leftovers, huh? That is the sign of a great chef, GC. I admire you for your many abilities, brother.
I had a bad day on Friday (and Thursday also wasn't a red-letter day) so when I got that political garbage via e-mail from one of my bosses, it kind of tipped the scales and made me really want out of my job.
But today went really well. The political stuff didn't bother me because I know I'm an adult and in some ways anyone stuffed up in a university for a long time - like my bosses and colleagues - probably isn't there yet.
I'm actually looking forward to going back tomorrow. I've got a book-on-tape to start tomorrow, Babe Ruth, and have a fun grammar game planned. Oh, and I invited one student to go to church with us so she's going to talk to her sister and brother (also students there) to see if they all want to come to our church.

Ritter knows somebody who is a political prisoner...He needs to keep better company, then ... there's not a single person in my life I would ever want to call a friend ... who would willingly allow an otherwise patriotic citizen to commit treason in order to secure my personal safety ...
To: illstillbe
I'm with you on that ..... though many in our touchy-feely society today would never understand that kind of thinking.
How is *Sparkles* doing?

I don't believe I could ascribe to Scott Ritter a nobility in friendship when, he cannot honor such a basic truth as birth.
If in some wacked out world he did have someone "left behind" (a love child?) wouldn't he move heaven and earth stateside to get our superior help.

People react differently to the same situations: You should also be upset with The Hon. Sen. John McCain, who was openly hostile to families of Vietnam-era MIA's...
I really don't think Ritter knows anything about the inner workings of Iraq, but he is a 'useful idiot' for the propaganda machine of Say-damn...

Mumble, mumble, mumble. I worked for six hours on Saturday on BAD code (it was packaged incorrectly). So I finally got new code today, it is looking good, I go to post my report and I get Java errors on the webpage. Grrrr, and I just called the administrator over the webpage, who of course has gone home. Grrrr.

That is what puzzles me. He has often acted (as kayak points out) AFRAID of something. There is a desperation in the way he speaks.
But then, he is so downright obnoxious that it doesn't sem to be fear. If he has someone being held prisoner, one would think that he would get government help, or maybe concoct an illness as an excuse to avoid the public eye.
At least we know that Bill Salmon, Mort Kondrake and Brit Hume think it is as weird as we do.

Great story, that lady had a lot more patience than I would have. That ole bird would have had its neck wrung by me...And did you notice the name of one of the people who works with the birds? Kestrel SkyHawk? Gee, ya think that is a made up name...
To: Bitwhacker
I'm sorry he just chaps my already roughened sensibilities.
I had jury duty today. You'll be happy to know America still has plenty of the lowest common denominator.

LOL! There is something wrong with people who use made-up names like that.
I always thought "Wolf Blitzer, Pentagon reporter" was a little too coincidental.

I have only been called for jury duty once. It was a drug case, and after they had questioned about 20 jurors ahead of me and all of them had affirmed their dislike of drugs, the court recessed and the guy pled guilty.
The judge said, "I think Mr. X could see which way this was going." Ha!

You are cracking me up here....

Desperation is a good description of what I saw in him today ..... almost like he was fighting back panic. The man is very afraid of something ..... whether it's his own neck or that of someone near and dear to him or just what I can't even begin to imagine.

I immediately made a leap when I heard about his inability to make it into the CIA. Is he another disgruntled "postal worker" with an ax to grind. Maybe our friend Scott wanted to show his interviewers he could make it in the big show by becoming a UN weapons inspector. The FBI investigation was just a follow up to keep tabs of his contacts. Crazy?

Booted me only once...
