That was a toy gun, JG. Like the GI Joe guns airport security has been confiscating lately!

LOL! "emotion-driven" "Teary-eyed eulogy?" What can I say, I'm a passionate person. :)At least you HAVE emotions, IamHD. I liked how you prefaced the thread.

His modus operandi is different. LE said they were going to check out any possible connection, but they didn't think the cases were related. I read it in the newspaper. I don't have the time or the inclination to find the source -- either Desert or Trib, though, in an article which appeared shortly after that monster nearly killed the girl.

To Jolly Green: Are you trying to make me say something that I don't want to, idiot?? I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you, got it?That's right, IamHD, never get in a pissing match with a polecat (a very old saying).

LOL A house with that many bedrooms, they need to bunk together to become good friends? or "les-be" friends? I'm sure they had a lot of "secrets" between them, maybe thier boyfriends that the parents didn't know about, or wearign makeup when they went out, etc,They jogged together, or was that an excuse?

IMHO, this scenario is way off base. I was raised in a sheltered environment, like Liz', and there is no way that I would have been flirting with hired workers at age 14, or at any age. It would never have crossed my mind. Plus, have you seen Ricci? He's no sex symbol, especially to a young girl.
Second, the person Ed would be most likely to talk to, in your scenario, is his wife.
Third, no one but a very cruel person would abduct their own daughter just to scare her because she had flirted with Ricci.
Fourth, I have personal experience with being a teenager who was kidnapped at gunpoint. I did not scream. I was too scared of being killed. I had never seen a gun before, except on t.v. Later, the gun was directed at me in a public place. I did not scream there, either. I was too afraid that the man would kill someone else -- he told me if I gave any indication that I was in trouble, he would kill the people who there.
So your scenario does not hold water with me.

To: scaredkat
If you know where she is, why don't you go get her and collect the reward?
To: varina davis
Honey, I have a lot of kids too. And they are sheltered.
What does the number of kids have to do with it?

Perhaps I am a disruptor in your eyes, but I have been following this case since Day 1, and have seen about as many media reports on it as other followers of it have. Perhaps more media reports than you, personally, because your posts seem to seldom ponder the facts of the case. Your comments seem rather emotion-driven, such as the teary-eyed short eulogy you wrote for Ricci at the top of one thread you started.
Devil, great post, like your other one I read. This thread draws primarily posters with an agenda either to blame the Smart family or defend Ricci. There are a few of us here that are objective like sandude, Jolly Green, Utah Girl, and a few others. You'll recognize who's in which camp by what they write. Don't waste too much time trying to convert the unthinking, I've been here 2 months and haven't seen one wake up yet. Just post what you think and look to see what the other 'good' posters are saying. Everyone helps when they post current articles but a lot of people still like to dredge up information from the first week in the case disproven months ago. Few are open minded here.

I don't think she was involved, and she certainly wasn't the mastermind of some big plot, as people have speculated from time to time.
Yes but she is openly lying about some of the key facts in the case, like when she said Moul never saw Ricci return the Jeep on Jun 8. She's dumb like an ex-con fox. She may not know where Liz is located but she knows enough to solve the primary mysteries of the case if she had any honesty.

There are lots of Francoms in Utah.

And if Angela Ricci lived in my LDS ward, she and her family would have meals brought in until after the funeral, the Relief Society women (all LDS women over the age of 18) would arrange to have a luncheon for the family and friends after the funeral, if that is what the family wants. The bishop of Angela's LDS ward is specifically responsible for her welfare, although I think that may or may not be delegated to the High Priests Quorum to take care. It is the High Priests' responsibility to make the widows and single women in their wards are watched out for and taken care of; which would include shoveling their walks during the winter, being generally available and helpful.

I didnt say I know where she is I said or ment that I knew where she had been. Besides there is a mine there and noone will investigate it. WHY WHY WHY???? the police even started giving me the run around. and yes I have proof on all this. police report, pictures, video tape and on my voice message havent erased any of it. Note, why Im named scared.!!...
To: cookiedough
I have to step in here, I come from a very strict LDS family always did what my parents wanted out of respect but I tell you when I became 13 bamm I did flirt and if you think girls dont, rethink that. I even went to rough out camp (which is a LDS girls summer camp (not a scare camp) and it was in big cottonwood canyon and there were alot of construction workers there and my girlfried and I would get up each morning and take off and go hang out with the MeN all day until it was time to sign in for dinner. My parents never knew and neither did our camp director.
