I'm sorry, but I have to chuckle at this statement. Neth Moul told all there was to tell about the jeep, from the post-hole digger, to *seatcovers* and everything inbetween, and you're telling me that the police want *this* witness to keep his lips sealed? LOL

You are conveniently leaving out the part that Ed Smart didn't know the Ricci and possibly others were ex-cons. He needed workers around all the time in his business - building and remodeling homes

Didn't know and didn't care -- as long as he could get them cheap and evade paying the taxes.

They were only married for six months. They were newlyweds. I think he was in love with Angela. He wrote her love poems and letters. They married on Valentine's Day. If they had been married a longer period of time, I would be more suspicious of his taking Elizabeth. Love can wear thin as the years go by.

I don't think he fits the profile for a child molestor and I don't think it was a burglary gone bad. According to one report the abductor tapped Elizabeth on the shoulder. It sounds like someone that wanted Elizabeth.

In one interview he said he used day laborers from Travellers Aid or someplace like that. Any one going downtown to hire a day laborer would know that day laborers may have criminal backgrounds.

I give Ed credit for having that much sense. I'm sure he must have thought about it, but decided he needed the help.

Are Mormons Christians? The ones who appear on these threads certainly don't sound like Christians. Christians are exhorted in the Bible to take care of widows and orphans; to speak kindly of them; to watch over them.

You know, I had an attempted break-in at my home. He, or they were trying to get into my daughters' bedroom window. Some lights were on in our home, and my television was on in my bedroom, and the police told me the same thing. Cat burglars do NOT normally have guns. This happened about 10 years ago. FWIW.

Did you ever hear Moul talk about the machette Ricci was wearing at his waist?

How would he collect the reward if what he was telling the police was untrue? That would only land him in jail for giving false testimony when the real kidnapper was found.

You take the result you want and try to go backwards, stick with reality.

The truth about the Riccis is they met while Angela had a lawsuit going and the prospect of that $50,000 settlement probably looked pretty good to old Rick. Angela's friend Newhouse said Angela spent most of it paying off Rick's debts. Bella says Rick was out catting around while Angela was out on the somas, which way is it?

Sorry, but I doubt that he was trying to collect a reward. I NEVER said that he was giving out false information, but he certainly NEVER mentioned anything about a blue van/truck, or a machete...not from anything that I've read or heard from LE or the media.
