Elizabeth Smart thread, August 31-September 7, 2002
Posted on 08/31/2002 10:26:34 AM PDT by IamHD
My prayers go out to the Ricci family during this time. RR was sent up the river and used as a scape-goat. No evidence, whatsoever, linking him to the disappearance of Elizabeth.
May he rest in peace.

What about the lame story that Moul somehow didn't see Ricci when he returned the Jeep. Everything this woman said was controlled and calculated lies. There were times she looked so guilty there was a little dark cloud over her.

Then you haven't paid attention to Warren "old blinky" Christopher. His eyes go a mile a minute when he's confronted with tough questions.

Leave it to you, lakey, to focus on the one chink in my argument.

More than ONE white jeep, Sherl! I thought that was wonderful!
Of Moul, the Grand Master around here said, "And I'll bet he doesn't keep any logs!"

The day you have publically put your House representative on the spot, you'll see what makes them nervous & how they react.

I would guess the guy with the white baseball hat is a hard core ex-con like his buddy Ricci and police know if they bring him in he'll just deny and stonewall like Ricci did and they'll never find Elizabeth. I understand they might be watching him instead of bringing him in if the evidence is weak but it sure seems dangerous to have him on the street.

publicly - that sounds interesting
I bet if your husband said 'There were 50 people there' you would correct him and say 'No, there were 48'.

This man lived to his last conscious moment stonewalling the Smart family, the police, and the American public on this most horrible human tragedy and took all the information he had to the grave. There was no deathbed confession, no repentance or asking for salvation like the thief on the cross. I might add his wife is continuing the stonewalling by not offering all the information her husband told his lawyers pertinent to the Elizabeth Smart case to the public. You hit a new low with this post, sherlock.

Hello, just found this area and feel a need to ask some questions on the smart case. 1- has Ed Smart account for his sleeping time that night? (like ricci had to). 2- why did ed have to call his brother first? 3- Why were the girls sleeping in the same bed? --what are they so scared of?-- 4-Why did mk wait so long to tell parents? 5- Its stated that the parents were getting a divorce, where they sharing the same room? have they been fighting? 6- Has Tom Smart accounted for his time? was he home when he was called or did ed call him on a cell phone? Mark my words Im not trying to make it sound that the smarts are involved but it seems that journal reporting is also one sided. Other families of missing children are run through the ringer but not the smarts, I know they are very involved in donating money and getting what they want from the city but it seems to me cnn isnt bought from the smarts so why are they asking such questions or other jounalist??? This is a bad thing which I wish would be solved the right way there are to many girls sleeping with their mommies these days including mine. Im from utah and have done some searching for Eliz and the right questions are not being ask and really really need to be aired so one man will be standing alone. At some point I really would like to air(state) what I know but to scared right know. please see brigettes

Are you a satanist, varina, you act like one. You know, right is wrong, black is white, good is evil, corrupt is esteemed. You can tell a lot about a person by the enemies they have and I'm proud to have you in that category.

Has Tom Smart accounted for his time? was he home when he was called or did ed call him on a cell phone?
No, we think Tom Smart did it. You'll find plenty of company with your peculiar mental twist on this thread, scaredycat.

To: Sherlock
Actually, there were 74 people in attendance. A record for this place.
Most people only go to talk about Social Security, or whatever affects them personally. My blowhard didn't want to talk about world affairs.

1- has Ed Smart account for his sleeping time that night? (like ricci had to). Ed Smart underwent a polygraph test. I do not know the questions, but that question could (and should) have been one of them.
2- why did ed have to call his brother first?
The Smarts have maintained that they called the SLPD first (911). The SLPD has said that the questions as to who was called first has been answered to their satisfaction. I know many posters here (including me) would like to see the phone records from that night.
3- Why were the girls sleeping in the same bed? --what are they so scared of?
The girls shared a room because their mother Lois had shared a room growing up with her sisters, and remembered the many happy times they had together. She wanted her own daughters to experience the same thing and grow close. I don't think the girls were scared of anything by sleeping in the same bed.
4-Why did mk wait so long to tell parents?
The police have stated that the abductor threatened Elizabeth's life if she made a sound. The SLPD won't release the perp's exact words, but Mary Katherine did get up to tell her parents immediately after the perp and Elizabeth left the bedroom. She then saw them in another part of the house, got scared because of the threats made to her sister, and went back to her bedroom to wait until she thought it was safe. The layout of the Smart home on the 2nd floor has the girls' room, the stairs, and then the master bedroom. I think the perp and Elizabeth were by the stairs (my theory, not an official one), and Mary Katherine would have had to walk directly by them to get to her parents' bedroom.
5- Its stated that the parents were getting a divorce, where they sharing the same room? have they been fighting?
That is hearsay, that the Smarts were getting a divorce. The only place I've heard that rumor is on the boards on the Interent from alleged neighbors. I have heard the Smarts talk about their bedroom, how the kids would sleep in their bedroom with them, so I assume they are still sharing a bedroom. Again, my assumption.
6- Has Tom Smart accounted for his time? was he home when he was called or did ed call him on a cell phone?
Tom Smart has also had a polygraph, his was inconclusive. I heard a polygraph expert say that an inconclusive polygraph means that it is as if the person never took the polygraph, the police cannot ascertain if the person is telling the truth or not, and so it is considered inconclusive. Also, that innocent people have inconclusive polygraphs, as do guilty ones. Again, I'd like to see the phone records, cellphone records are very traceable, and I am sure the police have combed those. And Heidi Smart, Tom's wife, has said that Tom was in bed with her all that night.
I"m from Utah (obviously), but I think there is a lot of information that we are not getting, much information that has been misreported by the press, and a lot of misinformation put out by the SLPD to trip up the abductor. I know my nieces especially are scared, and are very careful.
