He's doing good. I will get to see him in November, when they move to Texas.

I want to tell you that I am praying for your daughter, the grandchildren, and for you. You are in a difficult situation, and are accepting unpleasant situations for the good of the children.
My son is from my first marriage. Although his biological father intermittently sent money and relatives to visit, my son's values come from my parents and siblings, who taught him how to work, the value of family, and responsibility. My son went to visit his paternal relatives when in his twenties, and came back very glad that he had been raised here.
You are going to have a lot of difficult times in the next few years. However, the results of your dedication will be lasting things, so hang on to that when things get difficult.

My goodness .... he'll be speaking 3 languages by then ...... and throwing hockey pucks all over the court just like that Tiger Favre fellow ...... *grins*
I hoped maybe you could stop off on the way to your next assignment.

Thanks, Jane! Our concern is that all their paternal relatives are all up there together. We just see the kids every month or so. But they are overjoyed when they come here ...... their whole demeanor changes. We hope that means that we are having some positive influence on them. We're sure trying, anyway!

When I opened my dad's lock box after he died, he had my divorce decree in there, giving me custody. He was terrified that if something happened to me someone would come and take my son.
I think about how he must have felt when I read your posts about your daughter. But things worked out for us, and things will work out for you.
By the way, my ex is now a bigwig in a northeast state's Rat party. Figures, doesn't it?

Hi, Nita. No rain yet... but the temperature is on the cool side. Quite pleasant, actually.
Did you have that hot soup you were talking about?

Are you trying to give Jane nightmares for the rest of her life?!!!
(Btw, though the ambulance chaser acts like one of those northeastern liberals ...... and we'd love to ship him up there ..... unfortunately, and to my great shame and embarrasment, he's from the South.)
