Survivor V: Thailand

Survivor V kicks off on Thursday September 19th, and since a lot of us Freepers had fun speculating on Marquesas, I thought it would be fun to start a thread on the upcoming series.
The bios are out, which you can check out here, and there's already been scandal associated with two of the castaways.
First there's Brian, an actor/used car salesman, who neglected to tell the show that he had a few "blue" movies in his past. They cast a porn star!
Then there's Tonya. Her story could have a lasting impact on the outcome of the show. Shortly before filming came to an end, Tonya's father back in Tennessee was tragically killed in a car accident. Reports are that she was immediately evacuated from the island.
If Tonya was one of the first 7 people ejected from the show, then her departure would have no impact on the outcome. However, if she made it past the merger and either onto the jury or in the final two, then that could mean one less vote in the final two, or something even stranger. Only time will tell.

I'm an original Survivor fan, but I gotta say, this group sucks. I haven't been able to figure out why half the people voted off were voted off. Especially Erin. She was totally below the radar as far as I could tell. Then, bam, she's gone. That's got to be bad editing. And on the flip side, why is Jan still there? The old bag sure does like her hooch.
You know, I applied to be on S5, and think I would have made it if I had gotten my package in sooner. Now I'm thinking, thank God I didn't get picked. But then again . . .

Hi, you make a really good point about Penny's exit being a bone thrown to Ted. Brian is so cagey, and Ted is already suspicious about Jake's words that they were told to vote for Ted. This will maybe keep Ted in line, when it is really Brian and Clay's show. When it comes right down to it, Brian and Clay will vote Ted out in a heartbeat.

Are you here? Guess everyone else has started their holiday, while I just only got home from work. Sigh! On the plus side, this episode doesn't even seem like a rerun since I've paid so little attention to this crop.

Oops!, spoke too soon. I sure don't want to relive the Ghiardia/Ted grinding/sleeping baloney.

Guess Cuz didn't ping anyone for last night's episode. It was kind of boring. I could've done without Ghiardia's antics. That model/photographer stuff was ridiculous. She thinks she's fine????
Have a Happy Thanksgiving Survivor Freepers!

Agreed. This group sucks. And now I can't even enjoy Erin's attributes.

At least she's still on the jury.

I've been married almost 32 years....sorry hubby, I'd have to say buh bye....I don't eat bugs!
To: Amore
I'm here. I just turned Survivor on and hope I didn't miss much.
To: inflorida
I don't know if I could do it.
To: mystery-ak
LOL! Today is our 4th anniversary and I have to agree....although I love my hubby, sorry, I am not eating bugs - I get squeamish enough just squishing them in our house!
To: inflorida
The ants I think would be easy. That water bug would be tough though. I ate escargot on the cruise so I keep telling myself after that I can eat anything. But then, on the other hand, at least the escargot was cooked!
