Giving priority to what is most important, I have decided to swallow my pride. I had a dustup with a moderator. I lost. Though I think the moderators need a tuneup they ain't so bad really. I depend on them to keep this site from becomming a free for all whacko hate site. I used to push the abuse button quite frequently on my fave undesirables ... anti-semite, haters. I notice they're a bit thin around here lately.

It is most important that Free Republic live and thrive. It is less important that I get things my way around here. Though I do not agree completely with the proposition that it is Jim's site and he can do with it what he damn will pleases ... It's as much our site, collectively, as it is his now. Perhaps Jim does ride herd a bit too hard on this creation he gave birth to. Fact is I don't know. I simply don't have enough information.

But it is a given that FR is the best there is at what it does. If it's only my morning paper and a place to exercise my verbal skills ... it's worth supporting. Now is the time for all level headed thinking FReepers to come to the aid of our wounded friend ... Free Republic.

Is the man good with Photoshop, and does he have a richly sarcastic, if not brilliant ability to create art/photos that reach right into the heart of a situation, and expose the ultimate hypocricy of it, all in a picture? YES.

But he's also an ass. I've never liked or admired jerks that I've met, nor have I ever thought they really contributed to society, no matter how gifted they are. I think there are things more important than being gifted, in any area.

I think that's why Clinton wasn't a great president.

That's also why I'm not going to miss Registered; he thought he was hot $#!( after getting his "Sore/Loserman" design on all the major television networks, and, I think, that's where he started becoming a jerk. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt there of course.

Maybe he's always been pompous.

I don't really care. This is the last time I'm going to say anything about him. I think it's been too much already.

Where is the link over there to the biker bar? I read the first few hundred posts or so but it got too depressing. Then it got pulled. It disturbs me that I am seeing so many of our more colorful posters over there, although I also see there those who have been banned from FR with good reason, and good riddance. But I think I'd like to follow this up a little furthur.

Anyway, after thinking about it, I feel, as a Christian, that I should retract what I said. It was made in haste; I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. The main reason I said it is because I had a personal gripe with Registered, that is, I guess, not really anything once I think about it. I'll tell anyone what it was if you really want to know.

Anyway, sorry if I offended any friends of Registered, or him himself. I don't think you're a "jerk"; I honestly don't know enough to say that with a good conscience.

And for the record, NO I didn't get any threats from the moderators, or from his friends, or even from HIM HIMSELF.

I'm done. I'm going home to have a beer and go to bed.
