or were they driven out as was obviously attempted to be done to me? And was being attempted against Sweetliberty? Maybe I am just out of the loop Rowdee but I am not aware of an attempt to drive you anywhere .. and why you brought Libby into this I have no idea

I also don't know what goes on personally between any of the rest of you and there is no reason why I should, so I have just figured there are things I am missing and leave it at that. Still, I hate to see bad feelings between people I care about.Couldnt have said it better myself!

AA group of "adults" plotting to get rid of another poster is just plain CHILDISH! I thought we left that in high school. Depends on howe irritating and repulsive the other poster is.

I am fine with people liking who they choose to like. I don't ask anyone else to not like someone just because I don't. But I am not hypocritical and will not pretend to be friends with someone I don't trust or like.
I ignore her and will go back to ignoring her soon. But her post was definitely a big butt-in and a deliberate dig at a lot of different FReeople, and I felt a need to comment.
She wasn't candid or introspective, she just launched a back-handed attack that was not admirable or truthful or superior in any way to the behavior she claims to disdain.
I am not defending anyone but myself.

Mo, How's that deck coming along?
This weekend I have to put in one of those closet organizer thingy's the master bedroom closet. It's suppose to be "easy", *lol* We'll see, I have my cord-free drill charging up today so I will be ready to go!

What I find, is that is far too little "defense" of our friends on this thread when they are attacked. I can't speak for others .. but sometimes I don't chime in because it's not my argument and sometimes I don't have the slightest idea what is going on .. or I'm not knowledgable on a certain subject to give my two cents
Just because I don't say something .. doesn't mean I don't care ..

I kinda thought her post addressed the big elephant that's been in the middle of the room that nobody seemed to have the courage to address. Just my thoughts. Of course it is each persons privilege to like who they choose. I don't quite know how you might such a definitive decision about someone you have never really met. Over the course of time, I have changed my mind about several that irked me and after awhile, I did see something I liked. I will remain open to change.

The deck is going good and I have to admit .. it one of the best Ideas I came up with
As for your closet thing .. I suggest getting a bottle of wine also .. they never go up the way they are suppose to and the wine will releave the stress factor .. LOL

Not knowing anything about the subject is one thing, but defending vicious name calling is quite another. At least that is how I see it.

Nully can have my job. hehehehe. It does have some drawbacks tho. lol

I gave her a bigger chance than I should have, making the first overture to friendship, only to be told we can be friends if I don't "go after her man."
How obnoxious and childish is that? I can't imagine ever saying anything so pushy. But I let it slide....
However, she gets more and more pushy all the time, and I will not be backed into a corner by this elephant.
I haven't asked why you do or don't like her, or suggested you should change your mind or questioned how you can congratulate and affirm someone you haven't met. That's up to you.
I am gonna trust my own judgement at this point. I would have continued to just keep it to myself if the hadn't been pushed.
If you find it courageous for someone to make snide swipes at others rather than just be boldly honest, then keep heaping your admiration on Rowdee. I am offended, not uplifted, by her arrogant performance post that started this discussion.

I only see an attempt to dig into the past, open old wounds and watch other people in emotional distress.
I have gotten to know one person well enough to want to spend the rest of my life with them, even though we had never met, so I think I can make some pretty definitive judgements based on what people type.

"I kinda thought her post addressed the big elephant that's been in the middle of the room that nobody seemed to have the courage to address." That was my impression as well. I myself have occasionally cringed at Rowdee's brutal frankness when she comes unhinged and I suspect that is the crux of some folks' issue with her. I see it as just her way, and while I personally may try to frame an issue a bit more delicately I try to approach and address others online as well off with the dignity and respect with which I wish to be addressed, and to me a part of that is sometimes looking past appearance to substance.

good explanation!!
To: Canadian Outrage
Lynn I have seen the name calling done by and to a lot of diferent freeople .. past and present .. myself included
Sometimes I will say something out in the open and sometimes I will make a comment in private .. via freepmail
And sometimes it's not my arguement to get in between

"I think I can make some pretty definitive judgements based on what people type." On that point I wholeheartedly agree. I have "met" and been socially involved with quite a few people online for quite some time and if anything, I feel that I know most of them better than ones with whom I have been interacting for years in the "real world". Some of them I have met offline too, and there were no surprises. I felt every bit as confortable with the folks once I met them as I did with them online. In one such situation I was with a couple of co-workers and both later commented that if they didn't know better they would thing that me and the other person had known each other for years and certainly no one would guess we had just met.
To: sweetliberty
Brutal frankness can be overlooked because it isn't "substance"? I'm not about to make that kind of excuse for a "grown-up."
To: Servant of the Nine
I am really happy for you that you have found that person. I wouldn't begrudge anyone happiness.
