Hi, Rowdee....actually there was an upset tonite with little Missie...at about 9:15 she started racing around and in and out of the litter box just like she did the morning of the 14th...she was meowing and just unhappy...so I took her to the VET ER and she was seen and had another UA..red and white blood cells and "junk" meaning some sort of protein they can't really identify..couldn't do a culture as she has only been off the anitbiotics a couple of days... I hope things are not going to be any more serious than what I am already dealing with.....good thing the bloods were done just two days ago or the bill would be even higher...175.00 two days ago and 155.00 tonite and that does not even count the first trip on the 14th...I now have one card set aside for just pet bills...:( the vet tonite said this problem could be anything from a bladder or UTI infection that did not clear up with the first go around or it could be something more serious like bladder tumors or something in that area.. Just Wonderful...it was one month today that I lost Nacho....
Speaking of Nacho...the vet told me today that at UC Davis School of VEt medicine..they have the research dept it is a memorial section dedicated to researching conditions that affect small animals...anyway...Nacho will have a little plaqaue with his name on it in Memorium...kinda nice to know that he was special. I don't know for sure but my hunch is that my Vet makes donations to research for small animals that have passed away from something other than being hit by a car...in other words special mystery cases like hypertension, hyperthyroid, liver problems..etc. Makes the loss easier to accept...I just hope Missie gets settled down soon and that she will be past this infection and that no further complications come her way...What a bummer today turned out to be.

And that said, I think I'll hit the hay too. Nite all..Missie has quieted down now...poor little girl...

CHOMP!
I was printing out a bunch of photos as 5x7 prototype greeting cards -- will see if I can generate some interest in them among local merchants and then order some done at a print shop. Now I'm too tired to trust myself with the paper cutter, so I had better get some sleep. I have 25 cards made up so far... my goal is to have 35 done tomorrow.
Have a great holiday, OCC. Dream Brilliant.

Good night CG.
Poor Missy... I know what a worry that is, and how helpless you feel when the little ones are in pain and frantic.
Yall dream happy mousie dreams.

Gads, Marie......I'm afraid to say anything in a positive vein!!
One time, a couple of years back, Little Girl sort of played that 'game'....she uses the toilet a lot, not always the litter box. I watched her trying to figure out what was going on and it was a mystery so she got hauled to the vet.
I can't remember the technical name, but the glands (I think they're called anal glands in dogs)...the vet was very surprised this was her problem....he said it is not a common occurence in felines whereas in canines, it is.
As I read about the vet bills, and recalling your attention to your critters, I think if humans reincarnate, I'd like to come back as one of your feline friends!!!
At the ranch, we had numerous friends who always said if humans reincarnated they wanted to come back as our momma cows! They knew our devotion to their health and well being towards those ol gals. One time a guy drove back into the ranch to report a neighbor's cow was along the road trying to get in with our herd--turns out one of ours had somehow gotten out and was trying to get back in--he said she knew where the 'pickins' were good! LOL..
The Nacho memorial is a wonderful thought. While it can't bring the little fella back, hopefully it provides comfort that his dying wasn't for naught. Hubby Gene had wanted to donate his body to science for further study of polycystic kidney disease; but because of the meds he was on, only his corneas were harvested. I received a nice letter from the Montana Eye Foundation advising that because of this, a young man and a woman had been given excellent prognosis for recovery of their vision.

Sir....I have no doubt that iffn you git back to the ol' homestead 'n have yer cowboy buds sittin round with a few brewskies, jes' a talkin' n' a chewin', no doubt--at least once in a while--the cussn' would slip out once in a while! Just wouldn't seem 'proper' without it somehow! LOL.
Ain't never heard a farmer or a rancher call bullshit either fertilizer or manure for sure!!
I meant to ask, Cuttn, when you were here and forgot, when you do get to come back home, do you and Mrs. C plan to raise cutting horses for the marketplace or maybe just some for your own pleassure?
To: null and void
Fingers crossed Nully....
