I had Boomer long before I had Yoda... since 3 years before I got married until Gabe (my youngest) was 18 months old... 14 years I think. He had cancer then. But he's the dog in my heart always.

Boomer is a beautiful dog...looks a little like a black lab. No wonder he is the dog of your heart...he has such a sweet face.

we had a dog once that was a black lab called Cricket. He was a bouncy big dog loved to play but when we kids went to college the parents got him a new home! My parents were not really pet people....they just did not know how much a pet can do for people all they saw were vet bills and when I was in college vet bills were a whole lot less than now...today's visit was a quick 150 bucks....but Missie is worth it..just got the card for her last visit...that was 250 bucks...

My dad was the same way, but after all the kids left home, he became a person. I still cant believe he lets the dog on the couch when I go to visit him.

Had more to do with the kids leaving home than getting a dog.
