Getting ready to go outside and pull weeds. My neighbors will be happy!

Today I'm installing a door to what we call the "secret room." When we bought this house...there was a fairly large room (part of the garage) with a bathroom, etc - and we had no clue it was there until the house inspector found it. Turns out the previous owners included a husband who strayed from home frequently. Mom threw him out of the house and he lived in the "secret room." There are connections for cable, phone, etc and it even has an air conditioner.

WOW LOL now that sounds interesting...hehehe.

So...I took out the reciprocating saw and a few hours later.......wah-lah....access to the secret room from the main house!!!! Now, I need to go buy a door.

The next week or so will be quite interesting around here ......

Tomorrow morning hubby and I are leaving to go to northern VA to pick up the grandkids. Since daughter's new home is in a different part of the DC-metro area, we will be trying out an entirely different route ..... it could take as long as 8 hours to get there ...... :-(

...... we will be leaving early Monday morning to come back home ......

..... and then I get to watch Spongebob for a week ...... I'll have to admit to being somewhat curious about it, Jane ....... *grins*

..... and I know just what you mean about the dot.coms ...... grandson would stay on those pages til eternity .... doing the same things over and over and over and over and ....... ARGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Daughter-child will come in very late next Friday night and then next Saturday we will all get up and drive to Knoxville to see son's new home ......

Son called yesterday evening to say that they finally closed the deal and signed all the paperwork ....... and were going to start moving in last night ...... some of the smaller stuff in boxes.

Today he's got a truck lined up and will finish the move. He is one proud, happy, and excited young man!

..... the trip to K'ville is about 4 hours one way and we'll be making the trip there and back in one day.

Next Sunday daugther-child will return home with the kidlings ...... and I'll get my tv and computer back again.

Needless to say ..... I won't be here a lot this next week, though will be dropping by.

...... well, probably not tomorrow and not until late Monday night.

Bet you can't guess what gd and I had for breafast this A.M., yep, bananna split cake and this is when she came to get two eggs for her momma. It is our right to spoil them and send them home, course daughter called and said 'daddy'! She gets upset over the smallest of things.
