In national news, the President continues, much to the media's annoyance, his Crawford, Texas, vacation.

Bush says he's listening to differing voices on the Iraq question. [Presumably the media feels reassured about this...]

Baseball players have set Aug. 30 as strike day if significant progress with the team owners hasn't been achieved by then.

Locally, more rain yesterday for our parched area, and

a police officer, shot and killed in the line of duty, was buried with moving tributes and ceremony on Friday.

AND ITS A GOOD DAY OUT IN FREEPER LAND, USA SO, A GOOD A.M. TO ALL FREEPERS FROM SEA TO SEA , FROM BOARDER TO BOARDER, FROM THE CLOUDY MS GULF COAST, USA!!!!

Oh if you only knew how hard it is to be # 1, you have to prepare for it, run three miles a day, lift weights for one hour, swim at least 2 miles a day, Well, kinda, sorta, well, I THINK about doing these things, does that count?

Oh they are putting her forth as a front runner, let me ask you, if she runs will she give up her Senate seat? If she could, she would be prez AND senator at the same time. Surely this nation can see what she is, one power hungry woman who has sold her soul to the devil, this I am concienced of. I think she will her her 35% loyal followers, folks just like her, to follow her to hell. BUT, you know how stupind some folks are so, I am asking you to PLEASE pray for OUR President W, we need him.

Talking about OUR President W, what you think about Hagle, Army, and a few more repubs slamming him. Do they really think Say-Damn is trustworthy? That he will keep his weapons to himself? IF he does supply weapons to the radicals and they use them on the USA, there will be some politicians to flee to the hills, defeated, ruined, all for the sake of being the 'do gooders'. Whats wrong with those nuts, they are playing right in the arms of the demoflops.

Anyway you look at it, its going to be good day cause we are going to make it a good day so, prayers for all in need of special ones, to keep you safe from accidents and from illness. Please, prayers for OUR President W, he is a good man with the interest of our nation foremost and for the elderly, we really DO think you younger whippersnappers are doing a pretty good job in runnning things, not as good as we could mind you, but a pretty good job. Keep it up. Have a good day.

It's hot, humid, and where we are, NO rain. Lot's of thunder last night, but not even a sprinkle. The yards look like it's fall already, leaves everywhere. Do you have plans for the weekend? Are your kids back in school yet?

We had a short down pour yesterday but only made the hummidity that much more worse....it's already 75 here.

Renata is the only one going back to school..Carlos didn't graduate and has decided not to continue on in school (he'll be 20 in Nov). He got a handsome offer from my niece to live with her in FLA, get a job with my nieces husband, and she would bank his rent to help him save for a car and/or apt. I am not QUITE sure what they boy is waiting for. UGHHHH.

Renata tells me her Dad called her the other day and said she can move out there (Chicago) if she wanted...I just kinda chuckled and went about my business...
