And now in the "just when you think they couldn't sink any lower dept..."
DEMS PLAN SEPT. 10 UPSTAGE' TELECAST
At first I thought this was possibly a satire article, but soon learned, much to my disgust, that it was not.
Sad and pathetic are two words (that can be used here on FR!) that come to mind...X42 and McAwfool must be so proud...

I had an interesting morning yesterday. Some friends we worked with in China are here with us (they just came back from China a month ago). Right after breakfast, I had a call from the local high school saying that they had two Chinese boys registered for school and they don't speak any English so there was no way to communicate to them. They asked us to come and talk to them and translate. Dennis and I went over and spent a couple of hours talking to the 16 and 17-year-old brothers who, of course, must have been extremely overwhelmed. I may be back there today as I don't see any point in those boys being there in their classes because they can't understand anything. Perhaps I can parlay this into a job?
Molly, we have parent-teacher meetings Thursday so we'll talk then about whether to move Shelley up. My wife talked to the teacher yesterday and we think we need to give them a few more days. Teacher says she has an accelerated reading and math program, but hasn't had time to get it going yet. Next problem: my wife was up since 2:30 worrying about our wonderful 10-year-old kid who seems to be getting crushed by the public school system.

This seems like a nice summer to me, but perhaps it's the 3 years of preparation in Singapore that helps me appreciate it.

Just as I always thought....dems DO have forked tongues.Yup, and they leave a trail of slime wherever they slither...

That would be a great job opportunity. Hope it works out.

Job or not, I hope to maintain contact with these two guys as I think they've got to be in a really difficult spot. I have to say I was rather surprised by the seeming indifference of the guidance counselor and most people at the school for the boys. Their goal seemed to be to get the boys to the right place at the right time and onto the right bus at the end of the day. What's the point of sitting through biology class, though, if you can't understand a thing the teacher is saying?

What problems is your 10=year-old having? Is it peer behavior? I would think that after being in the Singapore culture it would be hard to deal with the level of misbehavior and rowdiness that many Americain schools tolerate.
But I may be being too nosy, and if you don't want to comment further, I will just keep you in my prayers.

AND ITS A WONDEDERFUL DAY IN THE FREEPER NEIGHBORHOOD SO A GOOD A.M. TO ONE AND ALL OUT IN FREEPERLAND, USA FROM THE MS GULF COAST, USA!!!!
If you recall, I told ya'll about me spreading some 'little tommy d.' on my lawn a couple of weeks ago, cut it sat and behold, going to have to cut it again, today. I new I should have spread some 'little dickie g.', the lightweight stuff, 8-8-8 but oh no, had to put the strong stuff, 'little tommy d.' 13-13-13.
Speaking of these two lowly americans, did you see where Al Sharpton is stronger in the polls than little tommy d.? He is EVEN with little dickie g. and even with 'prety boy floyd' John Kerry, dawn, thats bad, no thats BAD. They are saying Shapton just might overtake Jackson as a 'leader', ain't saying much is it.
ARAFAT, known to have pocketed 1 1/2 BILLION dollars and suspected of over 11 BILLION, now that gives 'under the table' money a whole new meaning. Makes out politicians look like choir boys. And those folks wonder why they are doing without? I am starting to wonder if they are capable of knowing when they are being suckered. But, blame it on the Jews, thats how its done, like the democracts blame OUR President W for our stock market woes, a fact that it all stated on the 'evil ones' watch.
I really would like to ask all to please keep those poor folks in Germany in your prayers because of the flooding, its bad, real bad. I am not going to hold it against the people just because of a few ROTTEN politicians. I have a place in my heart for those people, my grandfather was from Germany, could hardly speak english when he came to America, a good man, a loving man, a 'top of the line' grandpa, I am glad to have known him.
As I said briefly last night, it was HOT and muggy up on the farm yesterday, sweated like a 'lady of the evening' in a church service but, got finished cutting it. Going to go back monday, suppose to rain for a couple of days, and with my trusted chain saw, cut some more brush and small trees. Its really taking shape, found my spots to put some rain station up for the goats I am going to get, 3 of them at that, rain stations that is gonna put five goats up there, gotta keep them dry you know.
Getting close to head on down for cup 3 so, prayers for all in need of them for health reasons, and I pray that God will keep all safe from illnesses and from injuries. If anyone has need of special prayers for special needs, you are in the right place to get them, just ask and it shall be done and, for OUR President W, he REALLY needs them now, big time. For the elderly. a golden bunch of folks. Have a good day, a special good day.

The heat doesn't really bother me, it's the oppressive humidity that wears me down.
