We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail! [President Bush]
Good Morning!! Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The Justice Department has annouced that, beginning September 11, 2002, thousands of foreign visitors, mostly from Mideast and Arab countries, will be fingerprinted and photographed at the border.
Back in June, it is now being revealed, Martha Stewart approached a House panel through an aide. She asked the Panel to issue a statement clearing her. The spokesman for the House Energy and Commerce Committee said they were "stunned."
There is a report circulating on Drudge that says the United States will, if necessary, seize Arab airports by force to allow an offensive against Iraq. Diplomatic sources, according to the Drudge report, say that Arab countries should take America's war preparations very seriously.
A high-ranking Administration official has confirmed the United States received reports yesterday from an unnamed foreign government that Al Qa'eda was planning to hit major United States targets. Some locations suggested were the Golden Gate Bridge, the Brooklyn Bridge, and a "major landmark" in Chicago. The official was careful to point out these were not confirmed "targets" but rather possibilities.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Post your short news items, issues of interest, links, and so on. All who advance the Cause are welcome.
LET'S ROLL!!!
That Martha Stewart seems to be a truly ugly person from everything I have ever heard about her. Who was that woman who owned the big hotel (or chain of hotels) and was extremely self-centered and cruel? That's who Marth Steward reminds me of.
You left out the best news I can think of. The baseball players union did NOT set a strike date. Some see this as a very hopeful sign that there will not be a strike. That may be overly optimistic, but at least it is good news.
Well since you're up, here's a nice hot cup of cafe a'lait to get your morning started!
They were out of beignets, sorry!
She spent almost all of her speaking time making nasty comments about her ex-husband. (Example: "Here is our new driveway. I paved over my ex's swimming pool. Ha!" Or..."Ladies, we ALL know what's it like to have a spouse who doesn't support us, don't we?")
The entire talk was full of stuff like that, and she was very cold and unpleasant. Later, when I found out that she was a big X42 supporter (fundraisers and everything) it became quite clear why I was so repelled by her attitude.
I have ZERO sympathy for her.
I can just feel the enthusiasm bubbling up from that statement. :-)
Paul O'Neill up in a minute on Fox. (The economic meeting today will have O'Neill, Larry Lindsay, VP Cheney, and the President.
And I have even more enthusiasm. The employee cafeteria HAS NO COFFEE!!
This is not going to be a good day.
ALL - Have meetings all morning off and on. Will not be able to get to The Daily Update.
Last night our old friends we knew from China arrived. They're staying across town at my parents' place. So great to see them! I'm taking off now to go have breakfast and spend the day with them while my wife and kids are in school. Have a great day!
