Morning Chairman!
That Martha Stewart seems to be a truly ugly person from everything I have ever heard about her. Who was that woman who owned the big hotel (or chain of hotels) and was extremely self-centered and cruel? That's who Marth Steward reminds me of.
You left out the best news I can think of. The baseball players union did NOT set a strike date. Some see this as a very hopeful sign that there will not be a strike. That may be overly optimistic, but at least it is good news.

Yes I do, in her entirety, she sure does, from being a very mean and vicious person to work with, then add her condescending attitude (WHO does she think SHE is that someone is gonna issue a statement EXONNERATING HER??? BLECH)...to her blatant denials of any wrong doing and then appearing on TV acting as if nothing is amiss.

Several years ago, before I found out that Martha Stewart was a big democrat supporter, I attended a charity brunch in which she was the featured speaker. I was quite looking forward to it, because it seemed to me that someone who had built a career on puttering around the house was much to be admired.
She spent almost all of her speaking time making nasty comments about her ex-husband. (Example: "Here is our new driveway. I paved over my ex's swimming pool. Ha!" Or..."Ladies, we ALL know what's it like to have a spouse who doesn't support us, don't we?")
The entire talk was full of stuff like that, and she was very cold and unpleasant. Later, when I found out that she was a big X42 supporter (fundraisers and everything) it became quite clear why I was so repelled by her attitude.
I have ZERO sympathy for her.

I can just feel the enthusiasm bubbling up from that statement. And I have even more enthusiasm. The employee cafeteria HAS NO COFFEE!!
This is not going to be a good day.
ALL - Have meetings all morning off and on. Will not be able to get to The Daily Update.

My wife and I are watching our kids go through a huge adjustment. We've been a homeschool family for 9 years and now our three daughters are in public school (which started August 1). Our 10-year-old is having the hardest adjustment and that has surprised us. Our 14-year-old seems to be doing fine and that is also a bit of a surprise because she's so painfully shy we thought it would be traumatic. But today we're focused on our 6-year old who is in 1st grade and bored to tears. She has always been the one to ask for more work sheets and to push ahead. She's reading really well and to have her go back to the beginning by learning the sounds is just too much. So we're thinking of bumping her ahead to 2nd grade. Any input?
Last night our old friends we knew from China arrived. They're staying across town at my parents' place. So great to see them! I'm taking off now to go have breakfast and spend the day with them while my wife and kids are in school. Have a great day!
